ARBO
I have a class II towing package on my 11 AWD limited. From what I can find, I should have a 3500# towing capacity. If so, is there any small size travel trailer I could tow, only a tent trailer, or what size RV trailer? Is anybody towing such things? We plan to check at RV store but I'm thinking selling might be their priority. I could use some input. Thanks!!
ablb
You’re in luck. With the economy we’ve enjoyed the last few years most manufactures are DOWN sizing. Take a look at Palomino and Traverse made by Palomino. http://www.palominor...inoTentCampers/ Clipper and Viking made by Coachmen. http://coachmenrv.co...cificationstent I Googled "folding camping trailer” http://www.google.co...type=&as_rights= You shouldn’t have any trouble finding a pop-up (folding trailer) that has a less than 3K GVW. Good luck And enjoy ab
Tacyon
Or if you like a little bit of class and a touch of nostalgia, my current goal is to build (but you can find them) one of these vintage 50's teardrop trailers ! http://www.cozycruiser.com/index.html http://www.americanteardrop.com/ http://www.tinycamper.com/ Do some research into the story behind them .. good stuff. http://www.teardroptraveltrailers.com/ http://www.tnttt.com/ "There is some things that man is not meant to know. ARBO
Thanks. That shows me that I can only haul very small trailers, like tent and tear drop. I was hoping I could tow something big enough to have a toilet, shower and A/C. I couldn't find the weights on small trailers. Oh well, at least I have a comfortable ride to a motel. Edgieguy
Try livinlite.com All aluminum travel trailers and towy haulers. They have travel trailers starting at 1500lbs that can be towed by Mini Coopers! Edited August 11, 2012 by Edgieguy
