DF2161
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have an Iphone 4s and have never had any trouble pairing it with my 2011 Ford Edge Limited. The two have have worked great together. Then the other day, suddenly, it didn't pair when I got in the car to go out. I didn't think much of it because the very few times this has happened in the past (I had an iphone 3G before this 4S), I was always able to re-pair it. This time, no luck. I have tried having the iphone "forget this device" and also tried deleting the phone on my car screen. I've also rebooted my phone several times. I can bring up the 6 digit pin on my car screen but when I try to pair the phone to Sync, the phone won't display the entry field that I need to enter the pin. The phone just keeps searching with the little icon spinning around (it says "now discoverable" under that). I was also looking online and found a reverse pairing technique that I tried: I chose a pin number on my screen, then my phone immediately came up with a box for me to enter that same pin number...the car screen recognized the phone and asked me if I wanted to keep the settings the same as before but then when it was trying to connect, it couldn't. Eventually it comes back and says the phone is not available. Any ideas before I make an appointment with the dealer lol? Thanks
GeneBopp
I would pull fuse 29, or do the fuse box connection plug pull to get the Mytouch to reboot and then do exactly what you have been doing.
DF2161
I think I'll be taking it into the dealer and see if they can get it paired. I tried my daughter's iPhone to see if that would pair and it did the same thing - the phone does not see the car so maybe the car isn't "discoverable". Cellbine
I was having this problem with my android phone. It finally started working again flawlesly and there is only one thing I can think of that I changed. Before I had my phone named something in the bluetooth settings. I called my phone "The Voice of KLER" (goofy, but whtevs. KLER is my car's name because thats the first 4 on the license plate). Anyways, I deleted the name so that it was set back to the default and since then I have had no more issues.

Is it the same thing as deleting the phone off of the MFT screen (I've done that although it's still there).
