Bluetooth Fail

Recommended Posts

I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited. My bluetooth phone handsfree worked great until last week. Then it went into "Privacy mode." I couldn't make or receive calls. I did two Master Re-Sets and finally got it out of Privacy Mode. I deleted my phone from the list and reinstalled it. It connected fine. However, when I next started the car, it wouldn't "find" the phone to connect it. If I SYNC and "find" my phone each time I start the vehicle, it will work as long as it is running. But then the next time I start the vehicle, I go through the same issue again (it can't connect/find my phone). Any answers other than trying to do another master re-set? It's getting pretty frustrating.

I am guessing since you said you deleted the phone from the MFT after the master resets I will assume you have the rewritten software. If that is the case I would delete the pairing on the phone and MFT and reboot your phone. Then try again. If that isn't working then I would go to the dealer and have them sort it out. It could be a bad BT module or APIM.
