wannabang
I guess it's about time I updated this. Got it all in and installed. Looks great for being unpainted. Ran into a few problems. Punctured the surround with the screw driver, but I just applied some crafting adhesive that's "foam safe". The wiring is messed up somewhere since the sub isn't playing, but the amp turns on. I was pressed for time Friday since I had to get to a concert, so I'll pull it out and see what's going on. Thanks for the feedback, guys!

wannabang
Thats a good looking paper weight you got there......... Any updates? I have been absent quite awhile. Sorry, fellas. Update: The Icon is slamming. I'll get a video of sometime soon. System's all calibrated and the stock speakers are hardly keeping up with the new boom. looking good, i would like to do some similar stuff It is definitely worth it, and I still have some trunk space. Good luck if you decide to pursue it! It was definitely time consuming.
wannabang
Well, I still haven't followed through with the video, yet, but I did get the HIDs in this weekend. Here's some pictures. Sorry for the lack of a "before" photo. Retro-Solution Digital 35w 5000k HIDs. Install took about an hour an a half. I love them, and the directions were simple to understand. velcroed DS ballast to the fuse box. PS Ballast isn't loose, just velcroed at an angle. The high beams are the stockers, as are the fogs. Ugly when compared to the new HIDs. This picture was taken crouching, as to resemble sitting in a car. I might end up aiming them a little lower. HID low beams with high beams. I'm parked on a hill here, aimed down, as to expose the "jaggedness" of the lights. Not bad.
JHurley747
HIDs definitely add something to a car
wannabang
No doubt, sir. I definitely have the itch to do the fog lights, so they match, or at least get a 5000k LED pair.
Randomnetuser
What kind of head unit did you use? Model in particular. And does it work with the steering controls?
wannabang
It's in my sig, but I love the thing and get compliments on it whenever people get in the car. I purchased a separate part to allow it to work with the steering wheel controls. No biggie for me, although, I need to break in and find why that part only sometimes works. wannabang
*disclaimer* I'll continue to update this with everything I do to the car just to have my own little record of everything, feel free to comment! Started on those interior lights. I'm on that college grind... LOL Once I put them in, I noticed the difference in sizes... ...different sizes, but it doesn't seem to matter. It's cold out, and it's a twenty minute walk to my car, so I'm gonna put off testing them for a bit. More to come, hopefully soon, and I hope they match! **edit: Oh, and by the way, I got flashed for the first time for my lights, by an explorer :do what: and I had my fogs on. wannabang
Finally got around to getting a picture at night. Look forward to getting some lights from kc for the dome and license plate. Maybe those will make me swap these current ones out, too. wannabang
Got "The Stubby" in from Craven Speed. Can't comment on the radio reception, yet, but I love that I can't see it when I look through the roof!
