diesel74
Just installed 4 Infinity Kappa 682.9cf speakers in my 2012 Edge, with navigation without sony, also installed 150hz base blockers from Crutchfield in anticipation of installing a Powered Sub. Now when I open one of the front doors and the touch screen comes on there is a click or pop that comes through the speakers, just one click when the screen is lighting up. Also at random times, usually overnight, on cold starts the entertainment system will be turned off, I never turn it off, and it doesn't want to come back on until I turn the ignition off and restart. Once on cold start the entertainment system was off and the climate control system was off and all the settings were reset. Polarity is correct on all speakers and they sound great but they seem not to be playing well with the integreated electronics in my Edge or maybe its the base blockers. Also the battery saver warning you get after disconnecting the battery has not gone away, it has always gone away after several cycles of start-drive-stop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Problem solved. Disconnected the battery, one more time, let it set for a while and then followed the procedure in the owners manual under battery maintenance for letting the computer relearn its operating characteristics, which I had done every time I disconnected the battery before. The battery saver warning came up on the next to restarts and then went away and no more gremlins in any of the systems. There is still a little click or pop when the door is opened but I can live with that because the speakers sound soooo much better.
