challenger74
I was very bored with the atmosphere inside of my 2008 edge so i changed the ugly GREEN to BLUE and the gauge cluster to WHITE.....sorry for the crappy pics but what ya think? BTW ignore the radio color because that will soon be changed to touch screen navi.....P.S. Dome, Map, luggage Lights have also been changed but plenty of post about that so you guys get the point.
Cellbine
Very cool! How long did it take you to change all the LEDs out?
wlepse
Nice but a lot of work. A buddy of mine has a 300 and on one of the forums he goes to there is a guy that does this kind of work. I think he originally started because the OEM LEDs were prone to burning out. But he does color changes etc...if anyone is interested I can probably track down the guys info and you can see if he would be willing to do the Edge too. challenger74
Takes couple of hours and lots of concentration. The hardest LEDs to solder are the A/C controls, steering wheel control buttons, and headlight function rotary switch. ALSO i am up for anyone wanting this mod done....Pm with questions or how to arrange for this mod with colors etc...I'm an aviation mechanic as well as an avionics tech with the license to prove it If you know anything about aviation you know there is no room for error.....none.....whatsoever.

challenger74
No never on mopar forums but I am a proud owner of 1974 dodge challenger I restored. Bought for $1800 when I was in 8th grade and finished restoring 2 days before graduation ....should have seen the faces on everyone when I drove up in it....priceless ...even the teachers hahaha ...a memory that I'll never forget
fishx65
Great work! Very very cool. Did you think about doing the gauge cluster with blue instead of white?
challenger74
The gauge cluster, A/C controls, and headlight rotary switch have the surface solder mounted LEDs known as PLCC2.... The door switches are only the 3mm LEDs. Edited July 28, 2012 by challenger74
challenger74
Yes I thought of cluster in blue but I just thought it was going to b to much blue.....I wanted to keep more Lexus style look...kinda a luxury sport look inside..... kc300c
Have you priced out what the cost is for the entire panel assemblies? You could do what I am doing withj my LED lighting products and buy the whole cluster assemb ly and charge the customer a refundable core charge, convert the panels and ship the complted units to the customer. The customer then sends their original OEM panels back to you after they install your new LED cluster. If the returned clusters pass inspection, refund the /cluster core charge and use the returned OEM panel for the next job. There is an initial investment that you will need to make that you need to add into the cost of the product, but for the convenience and the increased pool of customers you are now able to service, you would soon recover these costs. Good luck with it. Shoot me an email if you want to discuss it in more detail. Dan@DAYTIMEBrightLites.com
cmillz1331
was this costly for you to do? or was most of the headache with the install?
Randomnetuser
Looks great! I changed all my bulbs to led except those ones. Where can you buy the less for them?

wannabang
This is EPIC. I would love to attempt this. Maybe I'm just proposing a cheap suggestion, but this would make a great write-up. It'd be a fun summer project for me to dive into, but something that might be a bit too much fun for me to buy completed. I might just copy that blue and white combo. It looks real nice. BLUE2010SPORT
i know this is a old topic but are the bulbs the same for a 2010 sport as far as the plcc2 leds go?
Godspeed
I am also interested in having this work done. Unfortunately I can't message you privately to ask yet. This was an inspiring MOD by the way. Blue looks so much sleeker than the stock green.
