Chas.
Here's the particulars - 2010 Ford Edge w/up to date software. Kingston 2GB USB 2.0, with 261 MP3 audio files, about 3/4 full. I plug in the flash drive while engine is running and go through the convoluted menus to get the audio system to access the USB drive. It says "INITIALIZING" for 1.5 - 2 minutes. Then the message appears "UNSUPPORTED" appears. Am I feeding it too many songs at once? Is there a maximum?

Chas.
akirby, you were ever so close. I don't think you can set DRM on MP3's, but I took a look and found the Archive bit as well as the Read-only bit was set on those files. I turned both bits off of them all and they play just fine now. Thanks for getting me headed in the right direction.
