normcloutier
I previously used "Super Clean" cleaner/degreaser to clean the tires on my older vehicle. Works like a charm. Simply spray on then rinse with pressure washer and tires look nice and black. I am hesitant to try it on my 13 edge for fear of it ruining the 20" chrome clad wheels. Being plastic chrome, I would think that it should be ok but it' says corrosive on the bottle Wondering what other Canucks are using to clean their tires or if anyone uses this product? MurphieNB
I've done just about the same thing for years with my vehicles, including my 2012 Edge with the 18" plastic/chrome, and I've seen no adverse reaction. The only things I do differently is that I use "Purple Power" which is somewhat of a generic version of "Super Clean". And instead of power washing them, I spray it on one wheel at a time, and brush them with a car wash solution.
richy
Zep Purple degreaser from Home Depot cut 4:1. Spray on, scrub, power wash off. Lots of brown gunk gets removed.

Any reason to use Zep Purple vs Zep citrus? I've cleaned mine a couple of times with Zep Citrus 4:1 I haven't noticed any problems.

I use both in fact. I use ZC for the wheels, barrels and wells and ZP for the tires as it does a much better job of pulling the brown out of the tires. Good to know I'll have to pick up some ZP next time i'm at home depot. M.

PrinzII
Normally, I will use the Eagle One wheel cleaner that also works on tires. Outside of that, I will use a cut all-purpose cleaner.
