I was all excited when ups dropped them off, i opened the first one, awesome...next two were damaged and the last one was fine. but by that time i was too mad to even be happy anymore they better fix this quick. PrinzII
Mike: Savini is one of those brands that makes the wheels from scratch. From the looks of it, she went with a forged wheel which does look pretty slick on a first gen Edge.
edgemama
indeed Ā progress report: been a week since I received the wheels. carid sent the damage claim to UPS who denied the claim. Carid is disputing the denial of the claim. There's no way this wheel was damaged in any other way than in shipping. It's a big pain in my ass I want my summer wheels before summer is over! PrinzII
Agreed. You don't want to rock those rims during the rainy season in Chicago. :-)

edgemama
still waiting for UPS to get it's head out of it's ass and say that they damaged the wheel in transit so i can send these two back and get the replacements. you can't believe how pissed off i am. Mike Monaghan
Looks great! Can u post a side view? Also r u still considering lowering it?
edgemama
Sure I'll do that tmw. and I'm not sure. I think it would look great lowered but I don't know if I want to go through with it
Mike Monaghan
Thanks, other than looking great there are other benefits to lowering a vehicle. The handling is obviously improved and because the center of gravity is lower your acceleration & breaking are better. Also less body roll is safer in my opinion. Ive lowered almost every car ive owned cuz of these reasons Congrats again on finaly gettin ur rims on & lookin forward to seein the side view w its new rims
edgemama
ohh well in that case i may just hold off until this coming spring, I need to save some money since buying these rims lol. Ā Alside from the springs themselves, are there any other parts I need to buy to have the edge lowered?
Mike Monaghan
I just have the springs & alignment. Some people also get camber bolts. Springs on Ebay go from $170 for a no name brand to $260 for H&Rs & Eibachs. I suggest H&Rs cuz the stance is better imo. Installion shud be from 250-300 & camber bolts are round 25 for a set. They basically replace the stock bolts that mount the struts so the struts stay straight & dont camber out. Spending $500-$600 to lower ur Edge may sound like a lot but when it goes from feelin like ur drivin a truck to feelin like ur driving a car ull understand y its worth it
edgemama
Mike, sorry it took me a while to get this up, been super busy! Ā And thanks again for all the info! I will probably (most likely) be lowering the edge in Spring :D
Mike Monaghan
Hey Christina, thnx for posting a pic of the side view w ur new rims. Ur ride looks great! The reason I asked for a pic from that view is because is easy to imagine the car lowered w a kit that way. & it would look bad ass!
edgemama
totally gotcha and thanks! I'm excited to get it lowered come spring, I'll def post pix of that too
