OnlySkillz
I just picked up my 2013 Limited yesterday and I got the optional 20" chrome wheels. The plan is to keep them through the winter w/ the all-season tires on. However, I don't want to ruin the chrome on their through the salt in the winter. Is there any protector, wax, or whatever that I can put on? I don't want to get those steel black rims for a good 3-4 months and change tires and all. JOEHIO
All that I ever do, is when I wax the cars, I also do the wheels. Prior to my '12 MKX, I had a '06 Explorer for 6 years, that it too, had chrome wheels. The "chrome wheels" on Ford products, and many others, is actually a chromed plastic, and it WILL NOT rust ! richy
To keep them clean and easy to crash, get yourself some Collinite 845. Best wax ever!!
