shoulinpanther
Are you going to try and use multiple amps and isolate your 3.5s from your doors/tweets. I think I am going to just run all speakers off of one amp or just run my doors/tweets off the amp and leave the 3.5s on the factory. I don't know though. More than likely all will go off of one amp so they are all powered with clean wattage.
PrinzII
That was one option I entertained. Just trying to find an amp with low wattage is akin to finding the proverbial hen's tooth.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Time to research tube amps!
PrinzII
WWW: While tube amps may be what I am looking for in terms of sound quality and warmth, the concern is how well they are going to handle the extreme heat I deal with in AZ. shoulinpanther
I like the set up! I am wanting to go with Rockford 360.3 as well. I think I am going to go kicker QS for my doors and ks35 for my d puller and center then also add another set of tweeters for the a pillers so I will have tweets in all doors and a piller. Also going with the new IX series kicker amp to run it all.
PrinzII
I forgot to mention that I will be Edge-less for five days when they install this.

PrinzII
Correct. However, they are having someone direct from RF tuning the 360. Luckily, they are not too far from the shop.
shoulinpanther
Dude that is some lucky stuff right there. I only would hope for that kind of support when I do the next piece of my system. I am jealous. Might have to come by and check it out when I drive through AZ in a couple months.
PrinzII
Still in the process of stacking coins and testing.
PrinzII
Speaking of testing, I am testing the 10TW3 today.
PrinzII
Received a call from the shop and they advised me to come in today and check out the sub. I plan to put this thing through its paces by utilizing my "Subwoofer Abuse" playlist.
shoulinpanther
It is a good sub. I personally like more bass but I need to bring up my sound quality because right now I have ludicrous amounts of bass.
PrinzII
shoulin: What's your take on the C3s?
shoulinpanther
JL audio is always known for their quality of sound and the C3s are just the step down from their high end so I would imagine they would still be a fantastic speaker. Now my question is are you planning on using the 5x7 or a true round mid bass driver? I persnally believe that you will get truer sound out of a round mid bass than the oval. Also if you do plan on that rout are you going to put tweeters in all doors as well as the A-pillers? I plan on doing just that with the kicker QS series. I am also modifying my original plan and going to use the RF360.3 and also add a PRC1 in line with my subwoofer amp so I can truly control the volume on my subs. That way when my wife and my girls are with me they can still listen to music but not like I listen to it.
wannabang
+1. JL is the pinnacle, but it's extremely expensive. Their lower level speakers are usually good and more affordable. I've used their subs mainly both for myself and in others' installs. Currently don't have any JL in my car as I decided to go small-er business with the subs and speakers. shoulinpanther
I wouldn't call them the pinnacle but they are damn good. focal utopia is probably one of the true pinnacle component sets but are outrageous expensive.
PrinzII
Wannabang: Morel, Phoenix Gold, Arc Audio and MB Quart also fall under that umbrella. shoulin: I briefly entertained putting components in the rear to expand the rear stage.
shoulinpanther
One of my very first amps was a Phoenix gold titanium series. It was fantastic. I will have a tweeter with each speaker, all four doors, the d-pillers and the center as well as the tweeters in the a-pillers. Need those piercing highs to come through all that bass. PrinzII
shoulin: However, my concern with that would be the mids where most vocals are. How are you going to handle that?
PrinzII
Funny thing is that one of the shop owners actually said I am doing this right. When I think about it, being methodical and testing everything out before installation will help give a rough idea.
shoulinpanther
The plan is with the 6.5s as well as the 3.5s tuned correctly I should be ok. If it is two much I will eliminate a pair of tweeters from the front doors. It should all come together though. It will just be a process that is all.

shoulinpanther
That is if I am able to get it done before all of my moving stuff is finalized. I am hoping to get it done but it all depends on a few things. If not I will only be a 6 hour drive from you once I get to my new locations, Henderson NV
