rehtaf
Not a true cold air intake. Just hot air from the engine. Keep looking... BTW, where's it say fits Edge?

BTW, where's it say fits Edge? thank you i fixed it... but if you really think about it .. a true cold air intake would place the filter not much lower than where its already going and from the looks of it with no actual skid plate under that motor theres more likely of a chance to kick water into it when it rains a ram air intake is simply a safer aftermarket upgrade for anyone with a lease..... p.s. i already ordered one so ill be sure to post up pics ASAP

rehtaf
The one I put on my GMC has a box with 2 openings that pulls air from the top of the fender and behind the lights. Same height of the stock box, 6-8 in. below the hood. Same thing..just adds a box. The oil on the filter should repel any of the water splatter. Looks like this... Looks like this... yeah it should be fine i used to have a Volant on my Explorer Sport 4.0l its a real nice setup which if what you should get for the money Volant charges for a kit and they are really good at keeping heat out....if they made one for the edge i would have gotten that ...water splatter isnt an issue with air intakes its people with cold ait intake that sit really low almost exposed can hit puddle or drive through deep enough water to actually suck it into the engine or at least stop air from entering and stalling the motor.....
