Your salesperson should go through a checklist with you, and explain how everything on the vehicle works, including pairing you cell phone(s). Carefulli inspect the complete interior/exterior for any flaws.blemishes.

Wish you the best with it.

Traveling from country to country with vehicles, I find that it is important to have your car running while you inspect it. Usually the delivery company is no longer responsible for the car once it leaves the lot. That being said, most people only start their car to drive off and don't realize something is off until they are already gone. So my experience is to start the engine while you are inspecting so you have an opportunity to identify any issues before you leave. This will be a little different for you because your Edge is brand new, coming from a dealership, and should have no issues.

Bit of advice about MFT if you have it on your '13. For the first few days, just concentrate on driving lol. It was a lot to take in when I first got into my Edge. I didn't try and mess with all the cool features until I familiarized myself with the environment off the road.

I hope you enjoy your Edge! Post some pics when you can. It would be great to see it!

When I picked my car up, I found 2 scratches on the black panel of my driver side door (next to the window) and I missed an abrasion on the bottom of the rear gate door. I didn't see it until about a week later. Open all the doors and boxes and inspect everything. I say, who cares if you are being picky...its your money right?

I picked up my 13 edge yesterday. When I got to the dealership to do the inspection, they had the edge in the dimly lit service drive thru. I had them move it outside and even though it wasn't sunny, the lighting outside was way better than inside. I found a few items that needed attention like a scratched front skirt under the bumper. The piece will have to be replaced. Glad i saw that otherwise it would be passed off for a bump into a parking curb. Other spot I would recommend looking at which most may forget is the headliner. Had a couple marks where someone had touched the room with something and left a mark. I brought along a small flashlight to help inspect darker areas and that really helped. Dealer is going to correct all the items I found next week. Took my time and glad I did.
