I have been in contact with the person who is in charge or research and development for Injen. He is willing to make an intake specific for the 2011-2013 Ford Edge Sport, but he needs someone that is near the Pomona, CA, that is willing to be the test vehicle for developing this intake.

Thanks for your explanation on this. I think you are right. I have a BBK on my Edge and I was like , I've never heard of this before. Piston melt, or broke usually comes with to much timing and not enough octane at wide open throttle. I guess that is why they suggest to use higher octane then your custom tune is designed for. As in 91 octane tune, try to run 92 or 93 octane so you don't get any spark knock or knock retard. That's why this had me wondering. But I say again thank you for the time you gave me on this.
