phlatlander
I successfully updated our '11 Edge Sync with the Ford provided usb stick and sd nav card. The new display has some oddities and it is a one way street - once you install it there is no going back! So now I have an obsolete 16gb SD nav card that only works in my Edge. Thought I might as well recycle the card and reformat it and use it in my Canon camera - not! The card is securely what it is, a nav program. I have not even been able to delete a file, write a test text file to the card, let alone reformat it. Any one out there who has figured out how to reuse the card? ablb
So far it looks like it’s pretty secure. Someone even dug out DOS and didn’t have any luck. Has anyone tried Norton Commander? It’s from the late 1980’s still functional, barely. Look here, it’s in the audio, navigation sub forum. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/10473-16gb-sd-nav-sat-a-1-cards-how-to-erase/ ab
phlatlander
Thanks for the link. Might as well donate it rather than the trash.
