Spaceman Spiff
My Sirius subscription from Ford has expired. I was wondering what deals are out there? I do have one current sub with an another radio. I may be interested in a total of 3 radios if the price is right. Any suggestions? MrHappy
You should be able to snag the 1 yr for about half off. That tends to be pretty pervasive if you try hard enough. There's a small fee added on but it's still around $70-$80 for a year vs the addon price per month at almost 2x that.
DonkeyWithAnEdge
Love Sirius and their little fee.......$15 bucks to activate the radio....lol But as said above, sometimes you can push them to give you a good deal.
Spaceman Spiff
Just got off the phone with Sirius Canada. Those of us, up north always seem to get screwed over when it comes to the cost of items compared to our American cousins. Apparantly there is a $77 dollar yearly plan out there in the top secret sirius world. Anyways I told them that I would like to subscribe to the same $77 plan that my mother in law has. She of course has no such plan. I got my wife a sirius system last fall. She got 3 months for free and now it's $15 a month. I was polite and friendly with the first agent. After holding for 5 minutes with the agent searching for his best price, he told me the best they can do is $164 a year. I told him that if I could get $77 I would subscribe both her radio and my recently expired Edge radio. He said he couldn't do it. I then told him regrettably I need to cancel the wife's plan as its too expensive. He then said he was "sad" to hear this and would transfer my call to customer relations. I basically retold the next agent the same story and that I need to cancel. She put me on hold for a few minutes. She was able to get me the $77 without any promo codes, she also got me the Edge subscription at 33% off the $77 rate as a second radio. So I went from $15 a month for one radio to 2 radios for $10.60 a month ($5.30 per radio). Hope this helps anyone looking to deal with Sirius. c_bova
yeah you get the deals from the cancelation department, so anytime you want a deal, just go there first.
mmcclure
Sirius just offered me one year subscription for 81.00!!!!
mikey100
Sirius just offered me one year subscription for 81.00!!!! That's the STANDARD rate for 1 year ($81) - At least in the U.S. If they balk, tell the phone clerk you got an email from XM/Sirrius offering you 6 months for $ 24.95 (+ Tax) - and you want that deal. That's what I pay. I call every 5.9 months, cancel and then they offer to renew me for the "same deal." Of course, after 6 months, this l plan REVERTS back to the month-to-month rate ! So you have to be vigilant on renewals/cancaellations. Good Luck regardless what you choose. Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA
jeffdelta
Question - is the $77 yearly price mentioned here for music only? If yes, what are some prices people have received for Sirius Travel Services(fuel pricing, weather, traffic, etc)? Are you able to combine the two services for a bigger discount? My free trial ends in a week and just looking to see what my options may be if I decide to renew either service. Thanks.

For me in particular its probably just music as Sirius doesnt offer the extra's in Canada. Spiff
FloridaMike
Sirius called since my free sub was running out. They gave me the six for $30 offer right away. With taxes and fees it comes to $38 for six months, about the limit of what I'd pay considering how little I use it. Auto renews at regular rates so I'll have to call in six months and try to get the deal again.
