goatee
I also have an 11 Edge build date Jan.11. Dealer did my update but didn't have to and did not replace the APIM module. When they were done, I had a similar problem with my navigation and my phone as well. I did a master reset with the nav card removed and cleaned out my phone text messages and also re-booted the phone by removing the battery and re-stalling it. The system seemed to go into a long re-set mode but finally straightened itself out. Please make sure the nav card sets itself firmly when you reinstall it. It sounds like your issues may be more involved. Good luck.
jRE
Maybe they mistakenly replaced it with a non-nav equiped apim?
Dingo
The APIMs are all the same. The Ford dealer can turn Nav on or off on each.

Hoping some shut down time to think about what it's done will fix it I wish ya luck that yours doesn't follow ours but I wonder why Ford wouldn't just replace all the apims if they know there's a chance they'll flake out as early 11 models. wlepse
I wonder if they found a hardware conflict in the old APIM's that they knew would be incompatible with the new software/drivers or just more likely to cause an issue. That would explain why some had much better luck than others on the same software and why people like myself haad few problems with 2.8 but found 2.11 to be much worse. mgully78
I just brought my Edge to the dealership to get the update done. My problem is exactly the same as the first poster. When I picked it up, no more nav. If you tap on it, it just goes to sync services. The people at the dealership said they have never seen this happen. They were going to contact Ford and hopefully call me back on Monday. Anyone that had this problem get it resolved? Thanks.

hotheads
For what it's worth... They fixed mine within an hour today... Had just dropped it off . Have to believe it was something really simple for them to do it that fast. Service ticket says navigation system inop, performed oasis,,no tsb,,ssm found,,performed manual installation of navigation, performed sync update,,retest,,ok. Everything seems to work fine now. Tech was gone when I picked it up so didn't get to ask him what the deal was.
