If you press the button for washer fluid and none comes out - you're out.

M. ^^^This. It's a fairly large reservoir, mine will take a full 4L jug once the low level warning comes on.
akirby
Don't remember that on my 08 - must be new on the 2011+.

zsasbo
I have a '13 edge sport and my wiper fluid level went low and the light came on indicating it was low as well as the dash board indicator telling me it was low. Today I refilled it. The indicator and light will not turn off now. Anyone experience this? Anyone know the fix?
enigma-2
I know that you need to nearly completely refill the washer bottle to turn off the light. Don't think there's a reset, supposed to reset automatically when you refil. Also you can damage the sensor by using Rain-X washer fluid (or any fluid that beads up on the windshield). These fluids coat the two sensor elements and the sensor thinks the tank is perpetually low. (Have to pull the sensor and clean the tabs with Dawn Dishwashing soap).
factor99
On my 2011, I don't have to refill it completely to turn off the light. If fact, it goes off even if I am on a slope and the sensor gets recovered.

Sensor elements may need to be cleaned or changed).
enigma-2
Seen a video on YouTube where a fellow taped a toothbrush to a stick and used it to reach down into the resovior and clean the two sensor elements at the bottom of the resovior.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Can we reach the bottom of the reservoir in the Edge where the sensor elements are?
enigma-2
I would imagine we could if the stick was long enough. Here's the video I was referring to.
factor99
Just make use the toothbrush is attached well! I think on an Edge (at least the gen 1.5) we would need quite a long stick.
chefduane
I didn't even know that my '11 LTD HAD a low wiper fluid light. Thanks mv-clear. Is that the same for the blinker fluid??
TheWizard
No, low blinker fluid is indicated an annoying ticking noise when the signals are on.
