I am still on 1.8 also. Got mine last September. My service center keeps telling me to wait if not having major problems. Mine only one is the screen staying on if you don't lock the doors. I can live with that one a while longer.

Bumping this thread to see if we can get more 2011's mapped.... maybe someone will finally join me in AK?

So - Cascade Auto Glass will replace my windshield for 40 bucks. I have my deductible set to 100 with State Farm. They are also giving me coupons to a local restaurant. The new windshield include the soundscreen and the rain sensor. Looks like Cascade is a not just an Alaska company, but we have used them MANY times (lots of gravel in AK) and they do good work. Because of the newness I do have to wait 6 weeks because they just don't have the windshields up here yet. That is fine. Plenty more dirt roads to drive before then.

Believe it! You aren't the first one - keep the fob by itself.

side note - hehehehe - my mom just bought one of these and I just cringe (for many reasons) when I see it. They are just goofy looking. And the interior is typical chevy crap. Other than that - Alaska would maybe get better mileage in the winter because of the cold, but they mess with our gas in the winter to make sure we don't.... Oh well. I gave up a small car for room, so I knew I was giving up MPG. I am happy to see how much it improves on long drives though.

I live in Alaska and get about 20 - 21 MPG mixed. But on a good road trip I can get 26...

I don't know about down there, but we have little coffee shacks every corner or so (not starbucks, but small local) and many put a little sticker on the top covering the whole so it doesn't spill as they hand it out into the car. This might be another "only in AK thing"

Or use one of the stickers you get on your coffee in the morning? They are a little stiffer than other stickers and come off easily after being on something for ages... Really after having the car a while, you won't set it off and it really isn't a safety hazard.

I am on version 1.8 still because I have no issues and see no reason to mess with a good thing. My dealership has not been in contact with me once on their own initiation, but that is fine with me. Don't hound me to upgrade when I am fine. By the same token - they have been great to talk to about these updates that have been released. Everyone will never be happy with whatever a company does. I personally have been fine with the communication I have had with "Ford" (my dealership) while you have not. Anyway - I hope your issues are resolved with the newest update.

Sorry you are disappointed, but that wasn't the point of this thread. There are plenty of other places to make you dissatisfaction known.

I was including myself in that statement. I never thought to check if the back ones are the same I just figured they were.

Shouldn't have to - is true - but not reality with pretty much anything. Seat heaters on on the main screen - so that would have been an easy one to see.

Sounds like you didn't do any testing before leaving the dealership either - hope it is a quick fix.

On the Limited and Sport they are lights - on the SE and SEL they are just openings I think - I know the limited has lights. They are not turned on as day time running lights either - nor can they be without some type of Mod - or living in Canada.

Yep - and it is your money and sanity - just remember that there are only a couple of handful on here complaining of issues (most justified). Most people who are happy don't speak up often or at all. You will be happy when you finally get it - 2012 or 2011.

You are missing out by only reacting to the downers on these forums. I have had my limited since September - still on version 1.8 and no problems with MFT - Love this car more every day.
