  1. And it beeps! some one had to squeeze past while I was backing out.
  2. I am really liking BLIS - though I had to laugh this morning as I went through the drive through to get my coffee - the building was in my blind spot.
  3. Wow - way for me to be sooooo off on my call about the radio...
  4. So I don't know distance - but I can start it from 15 floors up into a cement parking garage - as long as it is parked on the same side of the building that I am looking out of. In other words, I have found the perfect spot to park, stay out of the snow, it is a spot and a half (because of a post) and I can sit at my desk and start it before leaving at night. That is all I was concerned about. Hope everyone else is able to find their sweet spot.
  5. This made it so much easier to do mine - thanks for finding this one out early for the rest of us. :happy feet:
  6. I am loving my Bordeaux Red also - I am amazed at the color and the range that it changes in sun and shade. Enjoy.
  7. Ok - finally a pic - not great, but it was taken the only sunny day we have had since I got it...
  8. Seriously had to laugh out loud. Hope you figure out your fob situation. Maybe once winter really hits you can just keep it in your coat pocket...
  9. I haven't set off the alarm yet - but I do keep turning on my hazards driving down the road... I make you a man case for your fob if you make me a cover for the hazards...
  10. Congrats on your new order - Hope you like it as much as I like mine. Rev got a primed grill and had it painted blue to match - looks awesome - there are pictures in the 2011 section.
  11. Quiet remote start I think just means that it turns your stereo off and only turns on some of the lights. the other two... ? I don't know.
  12. Sadly - so did we. Record rain in fact. 32 days with measurable rain. Not lots, just grey drizzle.
  13. 36 and rain right now - might get to test slick roads tomorrow. YUCK! time to move to Hawaii so I can have my roof open all the time.
  14. Only 250 miles? I have done that since Friday night.... Enjoy those mountains.
  15. I am really not finding any problems with my sync or edge in general - maybe I am just lucky. The only thing I have had was this morning the display didn't change when the song on my ipod did. If that continues on the next drive I might call it a problem, but so far - that could be an ipod issue or the car. I would agree with the statement that the system might be a bit slow, but not choppy. It isn't an ipad/ipod as one person also commented, but I find that the better I get at touching in the right spot (might look like a big area to touch, but there are specific spots) the better it works. It is a learning process for all of us. The other thing I can't test are any of the serius stuff - doesn't work in Alaska. But the navigation that came on the sd card has worked and been accurate driving around town. I would certainly buy this car again - and will recommend it to others. As the software systems get perfected it will only get better.
  16. My hubby is quite anxious for me to start letting him drive the new member of the family - but he can drive his truck or he can ride while I drive. I am in love too...
  17. I will probably have my techie hubby check touch stuff first - well really anything - I no my limits. hurry home Blu!
  18. Poor Blu - and you of course. I was telling my hubby about this last night and he asked the same thing. (did they try a different card?) I am so sorry you have been parted for so long, I don't want to be away from mine at all...
  19. Yep - I keep finding that hazard switch too - have to train myself not to rest the palm of my hand on it.
  20. The toasty "buns" feature works great. Haven't left the car out over night to really test the auto start warm up cycle, but haven't been cold on these already below freezing temps. Just noticed this morning with my climate set to 70 the fans kicked on to high gear after a few minutes out of the garage. I thought i had opened the roof on accident it was blowing so well. I am thinking we will be driving in snow in the next couple of weeks so I will report on the traction of the 18's.
  21. Mine is working perfectly - I think Luvford was having a similar problem too.
  22. I have driven a FWD for the last 10 years in Alaska (snow, ice, you name it) and was "fine" I never got stuck, but I was never crazy. There were times that I just wasn't able or shouldn't have driven the FWD. It also was a small, low car, so that also played into those added difficulties. I went with the AWD as we are planning on not having to use our 4wheel drive truck as much. We try to commute together as much as possible and tend to keep one car parked. It is time for the truck to take a break. There are to many differences between my escort and the edge to say what is because of awd and fwd. I certainly wouldn't base a decision on the possible resale of the car in 10 years though. Good luck and you will be happy with either.
  23. I could for full time winter use, but wanted to get a way from summer tires and winter tires. If I was just looking for something for on the weekends to go skiing, I wouldn't want to deal with different tires, but that is probably the smartest option.
  24. Just to let everyone know - there is no more problem with weak fan in the Edge's with the redesign on the 2011's. I kicked mine on full blast this morning and it was almost a wind tunnel.
  25. Congrats on yours - I just finally got mine on Friday - but been reading up on this forum since I ordered. I live in the Anchorage area - but it is already reaching the end of fall here. It was 28 this morning on the way to work and only warmed up to 44 today. Come March those temps will be great, but now still kind of chilly.
