I spoke with a few friends of mine and they all echoed what AK said here. None of them thought you would have to take a panel off.

I have a little over 2200 miles on my Edge. Half of those were highway for a trip to Florida. Other half city driving. I am averaging 18.7 miles per gallon. (I had to use premium fuel on my last car so I'm really digging the 87 octane pump!)

Glad it almost worked. Personally, I just don't like the way the mat looks on the dash.

I can respond as to the BAMR. Noise is absolutely not an issue; opened and closed. Body flex - Not a clue. What I have noticed is I have noticed zero difference. I drove a non-BAMR for two days waiting for mine to come in and couldn't tell any difference after. I purchased my Edge with the Z plan so I can't comment about the lease. I will say this though - don't hesitate in getting an Edge. You will love it!

I had my windows tinted (15%) all around and with the back windows already tinted, adding the new tint to it makes it as dark as limo tint - you can't see into the back.

Can't say for sure with Ford but most of the SE and SEL designiations on cars stand for Special Edition and Special Edition Luxury.

I did a Google (debadge, ford emblem) and see that a lot of people talk about everything from little holes to "gaping" holes. Looks like you can just pop it off from the outside though.

I blew off the Nav - there is always Mapquest, etc. You have to get the BAMR - it is excellent. Mine is a loaded SEL with everything but the Nav, the DVD and the trailer hitch. I love it!

And there is always the have-your-significant-other-stand-behind-you-as-you-back-up-yelling-"little-farther-little-farther-whoa-not that far" method.

Doc Fee of $495.00. I marked through it and re-did the math. Also received the $1,000.00 rebate that was offered. No trade in so didn't get screwed there. Bought it in June of 04 so I guess they could have been trying to clear out for the 05's...

I bought my RX-8 in 2004 for the Z plan price without a pin; also received the rebates, etc. The GM at that dealership told me that all they got was $50.00 to do the paperwork - but he at least is "moving the unit" - and he didn't need the pin to sell me for the plan price.

He might not give you the "D" plan but can give you the "D" plan price. He can actually give you any price he wants (within reason). My dad is retired Ford Aerospace and I have purchased many a vehicle at the A and Z plan price but without a pin. The dealer just knocks down the price to that total.

If I read his post correctly....he does this and it works... ...until he turns the car back on after he is parked somewhere. IOW..it automatically resets when you turn the car on.

Yes, correct. I guess I could have worded it differently. First touch is automatic. Second touch I have to hold it down to close it the remaining way.

One touch completely open. The "first" touch will close the vista roof 3/4 of the way. The "second" touch will close the vista roof the rest of the way.
