  1. I bought mine in June. They told me it was 6 months.
  2. Ooooooo....I likey!!!! That sounds really good. If you could do me a favor when you have a chance. Take a few pics from the side and from behind. I'd like to get a better look at how it looks. Also, a shot from behind looking up..want to see how much of the exhaust is visible from the back. Sounds Great!!! Where did you get it? How much? Etc?
  3. Speaking of a sound clip....... I wonder what the Gibson sounds like... Hint...Hint...
  4. LMAO. Budussy. Hmm....how do I describe this. Something that is awful. Terrible. Something as nasty as the smell of .... Better idea. Just remembered a website. Look it up: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=budussy In other words, she really doesn't like it.
  5. I'm not feeling the wheels. But that is just me. Generally, I'm not crazy about 22's but looking at yours, I like the look. I would love for you to post a sound clip of the exhaust. I am thinking about an aftermarket exhaust but want to hear one before I buy it. Not many out for the Edge now but that will change soon. (take off the dealer badge from the back!) I like the KMC Performance decal - Nice Touch!
  6. http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServe...d=1150907696769 $12.95 per month. $142.45 for a year (one month free). I wouldn't do anything longer than a year because when the XM merger goes through, they will be offering different pricing plans.
  7. Ditto you (and Edgy). I have come to a point in my life where I buy what I want, add to it what I want and that is that. I have seen some custom work by Unique and West Coast (not to mention hundreds of other not-so-famous-shops) up close. Very, very nice, but not my style. Other cars by them, I absolutely drool over. I hope Watertown sells his carbon Edge. And Bleader? He is more than entitled to his opinion. I have not experienced the problems that he has. To each his own. Life goes on. In the big picture...as Tripper Harrison would say...It just doesn't matter. (anyone get the reference? And no fair Googling it)
  8. Excellent! Prior Air Force here. Again, Thank You (and your family) for your service.
  9. Oh, don't misunderstand. I know exactly why certain wheels and tires can cost so much; customizing cars has been a hobby of mine for over 30 years. Before I walk into a dealer and buy something that has been "modded" - I want to know what I'm buying (brand, model, etc) so I can compare prices and see if I can do better. Watertown says $2,495.00 for tires and wheels. You found them (I'm thinking on Wheelsnext.com) for $1,999.00. So there is $500.00 for negotiating right there. And that is assuming he went with the 305/45's. Yes, it's all about taste. No one is disputing that. I just have an issue with asking him specifics about the "options" and him not answering. I'm sure if you went into a dealer and asked similar questions and noticed that they seems hesitant to answer them, you would probably see little red flags too.
  10. I will echo what the other people said about the Friends and Family plan. I have talked to many people who have actually received a better price walking into the dealership. If I may ask, what branch of the service are you in? (whatever it is, Thank You for your service to our country)
  11. I can get you a friends and family plan Pin number if you need one (Dad is retired Ford Aerospace). I would suggest you think twice about two things: 1. BAMR - Yes, you can't have a roof rack...but, if you get the two package you can always drag something behind for when you move. If you think about it, you can use the BAMR every time you are in the car where the roof rack comes in handy when you move. You will be driving the car much more not moving than you will be when you move. 2. Sirius. I have had it for over 3 years (old car and now the Edge). Wife has had XM for the last 3 years (Hondas). You don't realize how much you like it until you have it. I haven't listened to terrestrial radio in my cars since I had Sirius. I listen to Sirius on my computer in my office about 70% of the time.
  12. I have the steering wheel set at it's "highest" setting. Angle the left and right vent and I feel it on my face. *shrug*
  13. I'm not sure but check with sweetie6116. She likes to compare things. She compared the Pioneer and the Kenwood and I tell you, she is really pissed. One registered 12 miles and the other was 14.7 miles. She thinks it is a scam.
  14. EXACTLY!!!! That is what I do every day here in Memphis. Highs this past week in the upper 90's low 100's - heat index 105 - 110. This post should be named: EDGE Airconditioning for Dummies
  15. www.1010tires.com has a tire size calculator. Will show you the differences in diameter, circumference, etc from one size compared to the other.
  16. I drive the Edge. She has a 2007 CRV (she loves Hondas). She has driven the Edge just a handful of times; says she loves it.
  17. Yeah....she posted in an other forum. She said she was right, module was off, dealership ordering a new one. But she also said the dealership wouldn't listen to her until her husband went with her. I replied. I know.....I know....I shouldn't have. But I couldn't resist. I reminded her that all she had to do was tell the dealer, just like I told her in this forum. She got all pissed..lol She didn't like the terrible things I said about her in this forum. She said she banned me from talking to her; that she was just going to ignore me. I told her to cool her jets..life was short, don't get so upset, I had no desire to talk to her again, etc. They she replied (again - even though she "banned" me from talking to her). Said she thought I was going to leave her alone. I'm with 007. It amazes me how people can be. I figure you have a choice when you wake up in the morning. Be in a good mood or a bad mood. Why would anyone choose to be in a bad mood. I would ask sweetie..but, well, she banned me. (LMAO)
  18. Lol..no worries..and absolutely no stupidity. I actually went back and double checked making sure I didn't miss it the first time.... I'm really curious about the wheels...if they are 3G..well, IMHO...someone was ripped off. I really think they are pretty fugly. I'm sure Mr. Ford-salesman can enlighten us. At least with the brand and model of the tire and wheel. We can figure the body kit from there. Certainly that shouldn't be too difficult.
  19. I actually did that before and couldn't find any information; hence the question. Only thing I did see was the actual size of the tire - 264/35/22. Nothing about the tire or wheel brand/model. It is working out to just under 5K for the body kit, wheels, and tires. The Hankooks I have, for that size, are $291.99 each (from 1010tires.com); $1167.96 for four. That leaves about $3800.00 for the wheels and body kit. Not saying it's not a good deal..but want to know where the money is.
  20. I'm still trying to find out from Watertown what brand/model the tires and wheels are. Then we can begin a fair comparison.
  21. Well, who knows then. Maybe it is a combination of interior color, angle of the sun, longitude/latitude and amount of humidity in the air, combined with actual measured eyesight of the observer. I have an Edge and have no problem with the glare. It is very evident with me in this Escape. You have an Escape and have no problem with the glare. It is very evident with you in the Edge. Go figure.
