WOW! I am PISSED! Oh. Sorry. Must be some kind of Pavlovian thing.

HA...I WAS RIGHT!!!! I posted earlier about my sunglasses not seeing correctly and how everyone just laughed in my face about this! The 1st Wal-Mart I went to blew me off and laughed! BUT, turns out, I WAS CORRECT. They have ordered a new pair...my wife went with me to let them know that we WOULD be taken seriously this time...and whadya know? THey took us seriously! I know they couldn't believe that they were seeing things wrong but when they checked, they were STUNNED! HA HA! So, said all that to say this...trust your instinct and force the issue if you have too! If I had just lain down and let it pass, my eyesight would have been messed up and I would have fell victim to the vast Wal-Mart conspiracy. They are even going to give me an extra pair free of charge due to the fact that they were wrong! Just another life lesson...don't let ANYONE make you feel badly or ridicule you about something you are sure of! Have a GREAT day everone!

Sniff....sniff. Is that jet fuel?
-
Nope, no lenses have been changed...since then, I have taken my hubby's other NEWER pair and got the same deal. I called Wal-Mart and they just LAUGHED and blew me off.! But I am TELLING you...those that think you are getting GREAT sunglasses, check the lenses against others with the same tint. Remember, I am NOT talking about actual sunglasses...I am talking about actual lenses that you look through. You will be surprised. I think this is a bigger conspiracy than we all realize. Not just Wal-Mart, but every sunglass manufacture who makes polarized lenses. This is WRONG! I am PISSED!!
-
Yes. I know. I'm going to hell for that.

WOW! I am PISSED! I recently bought a pair of polarized sunglasses (also at Walmart) and looked at other car windows. My vision was all messed up!!!! DING DING DING! You should NEVER see little dots in windows. That is distracting and dangerous! SO....I checked the windows with and without the sunglasses. SURE ENOUGH, over about 8 miles I noticed it was not the same.... My wife has tinted sunglasses and took a trip and checked the other cars and then took the Edge on the same trip...SURE ENOUGH! She saw spots too! It is NOT right!. This makes all the cars with tint look all spotty and "splotchy"!!!!!! WHAT A SCAM! What can I do about this? Check yours and report back...thes is MESSED UP! Man, am I MAD!

Now, now, now. So she has a...unique...way of posting and expressing herself. Everyone deserves a second chance. It is possible she has seen the error of her ways. She obviously discovered that this is a better board and is attempting to come back to us. She might not be particularly fond of Humble Pie but in her own special way, she is tasting it. Life is short. I'm willing to give her another chance. Even if she did say I was mean and treated her badly here. Oh yeah..and that banning me thing. Still cracks me up.

She hung out on that "other" Edge board but probably figured we're a lot more fun. Hmm....she might have "banned" me from replying to her posts on this board too so she might not even see my post. Oh well. If you can read this, Welcome Back.

Wow. I have the Camel Interior. Very sunny here in TN. It has been over 100 for the last couple of weeks almost. I can see the reflection if I look for it. But it isn't a problem. Maybe since you are closer to the equator.....

New Copper Edge in Phoenix
Good_Hands replied to jeffreybehr's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
You need to also make sure that the tire won't be too tall or wide for the wheel well. www.1010tires.com has a Tire Size Calculator that will help you determine the overall difference in size from the 18 to the 22. FYI - Tire - the rubber thing that touches the ground Wheel - the steel/aluminum/chrome/etc thing that hooks to the car that the tire wraps around. -
Vacuum Cleaner Deal - Nothing to do with cars but WHAT A DEAL!!!!
Good_Hands replied to Good_Hands's topic in Welcome Forum!
They changed the photo. Just updated it on my deals sight too. Originally it was a picture of the vacuum cleaner. Oh well, it was worth a shot..lol. Order cancelled. -
Every now and then I run across some good deals on different websites. I know this has nothing to do with the Edge but I had to share this deal with you all. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H5PQT...8398963-4912716 NEW Hoover U6617-900 WindTunnel Self Propelled Bagless Upright - only $1.99 plus shipping!! I bought 8 - one for my office and one each for my employees.

I'm partial to the 20's; you will notice a different ride. You will go from a 245/60/18 to a 275/45/20 (perhaps wider). Almost the exact diameter but wider (of course). www.1010tires.com has a neat conversion tool so you can see how much different in width, diameter, etc you will have between tires sizes. Many of us here have gone to 20's and 22's. Do a search and look at the pictures. That will give you some good ideas on what you like.

You really can't judge the overall MPG when only driving 34 miles. If you want to judge the MPG for a certain "trip" - then yes, reset as you did. But the overall driving MPG you need to reset it once and see what happens. I reset it when I had it delivered and then reset when I hit 3000 miles. Only at 3300 now so it still isn't a good time to decide what my MPG is. I do almost all city driving (except for a 1200 trip to Florida and back). Before 3000, it said 16.8. Now, after 3000, it is about 16.2 (no freeway driving the last 300 miles). I also have the AC on everytime I'm in the car. Honestly though, when deciding about the Edge, gas mileage was not a factor. I figured a 3.5 liter 6 cylinder engine would get about 20 mpg overall. I'm not there yet but I will be. I know, I know, if the sticker says X per gallon then it should be X. I agree 100%. But again, MPG wasn't a factor. If I was worried about that, I'd buy a Honda Fit or something. The Edge is much more fun/nicer/cooler/safer/the list goes on and on.

I have a couple of friends who either ran over their dog or kids tricycle (that kid could have been on) - both times they had people yelling at them to stop but couldn't hear them because of the radio. I have always turned the radio down/off in ever car I owned when I backed up. Just a habit.

Psst...that's ok. Don't tell anyone but.....Two weeks after I bought my Edge I was thinking, "Hmm...there is a control on the steering wheel for the raising and lowering the temperature; it would be really cool if I could speed up and slow down the fan from the steering wheel too." Then I looked at the left column of buttons on the steering wheel. The bottom one. That says... - Fan +

2007 Edge SEL AWD Snow Tires and Wheels
Good_Hands replied to DLock's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
We have a few posters who live in cold climates. I live near Memphis and the amount of snow and ice I have to deal with is nothing compared to others I'm sure. Wish I could help more. -
I'd like to see one straight on from the back looking at it if you could.
-
If you look at the display screen where it shows AC, Temp of the AC, etc..you will see three bars "under" the screen. The middle one says "EXT" - push it and see what happens.

This activates the passenger ejection seat (only if the one sitting in the passenger seat weights more than 200 pounds).
