  1. Mmmm...thorizine. Nahh..I don't mean that. I hate thorizine. It's crap. Sigh. That wasn't nice of me to say. It isn't that bad. I'm sorry. I think I'm going to cry. Oh why dont' I just shut up anyway. Never mind.
  2. Carbon Metallic. I didn't want black. Most of the other cars I've owned have been red - wanted to do something different. The other colors just didn't do it for me.
  3. I was never too impressed with it either. You can always do better with aftermarket.
  4. I remember when there was this silver handle thing with a knob at the end attached to the inside of the door. It turned in a circle but was really uncomfortable to use as you sat in the driver's seat.
  5. Congrats on your new car by the way...I read your other thread - be sure and let us know how successful you were in your purchase. There are several websites that are great resources for buying wheels. www.tirerack.com - www.1010tires.com are just a couple. These have a feature where you can actually either see or post a picture of your car and see what the wheels will look like. Check out the gallery on this website too. Many of us have aftermarket wheels; that should give you an idea also. Hit the book store and look at some of the car magazines. Anything from Car and Driver to some of the "Ricer" mod magazines - they all have ads showing different wheels and their prices. When you have narrowed it down, let us know where you are leaning and some of us who are into "pimpin" can give you are .02 worth. One of my first suggestions would be to tint your windows. That is a very inexpensive "pimp" that will change the looks of your ride. I don't know what the going rate in your area is but the place I have taken all my cars to charges $40.00 per window (any % tint) and gives a lifetime warranty.
  6. She is quite easy on the eye isn't she. What is a little cash to give her some bling? And as long as I take good care of her - pamper her - keep her "filled" ...
  7. My car is a female. How do I know this? When I am ready to go, I slide into HER.
  8. If you add 15% tint over the existing tint on the back windows, there is no need for a cargo cover. You can't see into the back with "both" tints.
  9. Agreed. I simply can't believe that, in my situation, the overall weight difference could cause that much of an affect on MPG. Now...if you were to go from the stock 18's to say...something like this... ...I agree. There could be a difference.
  10. Congrats and welcome! You will enjoy it...believe me.
  11. So....I can't help but wonder. What exactly would the weight difference be going from an smaller wheel and "bigger" tire (18's) to a bigger wheel and "smaller" (20's) tire? Since my switch from 18's to 20's resulted in less than a quarter inch in difference to the diameter of the overall whee/tire combination, what did I lose or gain in weight? I can't find the weight of the 18' Chrome wheels for the Edge. Anybody know?
  12. 1. Make a list of EVERYTHING you want on your Edge. 2. Go the the dealer with your list. 3. Ask dealer to give you S-plan price. 4. Ask dealer to give you wife's-plan price. 5. Compare. 6. Purchase.
  13. I will agree on the sun shades. I would much prefer being able to close the back and leave the front open. As to the one-touch partial-closing of the BAMR, I'm not worrying about it. It opens all the way when I push the button. If it closes 3/4 of the way when I push it again, so be it. I actually have left it open that small bit at times too. Bigger things to sweat my friend.
  14. They should...key word - should...fix it correctly. And yes, go get another car. Minimum should be another Edge. My dealer tried to do that to me whe I had a few small things fixed and after I politely laughed at their suggestion of a Focus...they gave me an Edge to drive.
  15. This is twice you said you have it in writing but you still haven't gone back to the dealer to shove it in their face? Go back to the dealer and point out the error of their ways.
  16. Ohhhh..... Plastic trim on the Edge. Never mind then.
  17. edgesenior and 007 said it all. This is unacceptable. Forget the dealership. Call Ford HQ and every newspaper/TV station consumer advocate you can find. And last but certainly not least, I know there has to be at least one attorney that would love this case.
  18. Mine is 36 inches long. Umm...we are talking about belts...aren't we?
  19. Sorry jeffrey, but that was funny.
