Do you even read what you write before you post it? Lou...you might be a nice guy and all..even an above average car salesman, but dude..please...proof-read (that is what the "Preview Post" selection is for) before hitting "Add Reply." With the missing and completely misspelled words, it's almost painful to read. By the way, if you are treating 007 with the excellent treatment you give your other customers, I hope you have another way of earning a living.

I think, for some people, it is all about wheels and tires. I see a lot of that around town - cars that aren't in that great of shape but they have, what some people would call, nice 22's or 24's (tires and wheels). Why do car makers even offer wheels/hubcaps then? If it wasn't about appearance, you would just have the tire and the generic black wheel. You are right. It should be about the vehicle itself. For me, and a lot of people I know, nice tires and wheels just add to the overall appearance of that vehicle.

It is standard on the SEL Plus. The SEL, alas, does not have it.

Interesting. I would like to see when you are done. I'm not so sure of how the side-by-side dual exhaust is going to look hanging under the back bumper though. Then again....could be pretty sick too.

www.tirerack.com and www1010.tires have good prices and reviews on tires. Once you decide which brand you like, check around locally to compare; and if they don't beat the Internet price, have the place you order from dropship them to your installer. Same with the wheels. 1010.tires also have a really cool Tire Size Calculator - http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp - that allows you to put in the size of your present tire and then a different size tire and show you the difference in diameter, thickness, MPH, etc. And don't forget the vast wealth of knowledge and experience many people on this board can give you.

I went with aftermarket 20's (Hankook Ventus ST - 275/45/20) on my 07 Edge. They are inflated to 35 lbs each. There is a bit of a difference in "smoothness" between the stock 18's and my 20's - of course, it's a "thinner" tire so that is to be expected. But not enough to make me sorry I went with 20's. As far as MPG - I can't tell you what the difference was between them - I had the 20's put on 2 days after I bought my Edge. But from what I know from other people, what Saleen is saying is just about right. Believe me...you won't be sorry. You want something more appealing to the eye? What LITTLE you give up in ride and mpg is well worth how appealing to the eye your Edge will be with 20's and nicer wheels. DO IT!!!!
