  1. While waiting for advice, I decided to reboot BOTH the gps and Sync by pulling fuse #3 and #15. That did it! It works great now! And I didn't even have to do re-pairing with my phone. I had prior experience with a portable gps, and I like Sync much better after expermenting with it locally. And it doesn't scold you like Garin does when you deviate from the planned course.
  2. Hello, I bought my 2010 Edge about two months ago and love it as it seems everyone does. I did not have the need for the turn by turn navigation via sync until yesterday. I prepared by logging in and saving the destination on syncmyride.com. It started out fine with the command 'services' then 'directions', I selected my destination, sync replied 'Please wait while I access your location'. I waited 8 minutes and nothing ever happened. 'Services' was frozen on the text screen. I couldn't even shut it off. And this is weird but while trying to find anything that would shut it off I pressed the phone button on the radio, and my hazard lights started flashing! I finally pulled over and turned the engine off to break it out of 'services'. Now I can't even get services to come back up. I say 'services' and it just goes back to my radio. I say 'directions' and it says 'update route status?' No matter what I say to that question, it goes back to the radio. I also tried cancelling route hoping it would clear out anything that might be programmed, but nothing changed. Has anyone else had this problem or do you have any advice? How can I reboot this? Since it became stuck while trying to access my location, would it be the GPS module? But since I can't get it to go to services now by voice command, would it be sync? FYI, I can get to services by pressing 'phone' navigating to services, select 'connect' but it does nothing.
  3. Thank you, L1TECH and ThinLine, for your responses. I didn't post a response sooner because the WIFI in my hotel went down, but I took your advice and took the Edge into a dealership while on vacation. They test drove it and said it seemed to handle just fine and didn't believe there was a problem. On the way home it also seemed to ride the same once I was able to get back on the freeways, so I'm confident I didn't cause any problems. I know had I been in a car there would have been. I still love my Edge. And I'm impressed with whatever the the dealership puts on the painted surface in the form of wax or polish. The bugs I accumulated on vacation just rinsed away, no soap required! Thanks again! Red Devil
  4. Hello! I just bought my new Edge and absolutely LOVE it. It's my first SUV/crossover, so I'm still adjusting to the size difference. I've own several Fords (Mustangs, Thunderbird, Mustang, Cougar). With 117 miles on it I decided to take it on vacation. It is an awesome vehicle for traveling! While in an unfamiliar area, I was trying to make a turn from the shoulder, which suddenly dropped off maybe 8 - 10 inches. I was going straight at the time so I'm not too worried about the alignment, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much abuse the 18" wheels should be able to take. I have the wheels with the chrome cap on them. It seems like I feel a slight rhythm at 40 mph now, but I might be just a little paranoid that I hurt my baby. And since I'm in an unfamiliar area, it just might be the road, since I haven't been back on the freeway, yet. So do I have something to worry about or am I just being paranoid? Are there 'abuse ratings' for rims anywhere? Thank you, Red Devil
