Hello!
I just bought my new Edge and absolutely LOVE it. It's my first SUV/crossover, so I'm still adjusting to the size difference. I've own several Fords (Mustangs, Thunderbird, Mustang, Cougar). With 117 miles on it I decided to take it on vacation. It is an awesome vehicle for traveling! While in an unfamiliar area, I was trying to make a turn from the shoulder, which suddenly dropped off maybe 8 - 10 inches. I was going straight at the time so I'm not too worried about the alignment, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much abuse the 18" wheels should be able to take. I have the wheels with the chrome cap on them. It seems like I feel a slight rhythm at 40 mph now, but I might be just a little paranoid that I hurt my baby. And since I'm in an unfamiliar area, it just might be the road, since I haven't been back on the freeway, yet. So do I have something to worry about or am I just being paranoid? Are there 'abuse ratings' for rims anywhere?
Thank you,
Red Devil
