Anyone else?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. My 2009 has an instrument cluster that fails to light on occasion and have been told I need a new one. My question is will the vehicle read the mileage of a cluster I buy for it or will it need to go to the dealership to be reprogrammed? How will they put the correct mileage in? Sorry if this is a dumb question but Ford wants a crapload for a new cluster and I found one on Ebay for a fraction of the price....Please help if you can. Ernie
