Welcome to the forum, have some one look while you put the Edge in reverse to make sure they are all working.

It sounds like a dealer/shop problem. Have you tried bringing your Edge to another dealer for the repair work?

I got my nav unit, antenna and bezel off of eBay. I did not have to do any reprogramming. I bought a year correct nav unit.

bbf2530 thanks so much. I tend to hang on to our vehicles. Our 96 Explorer and 230,500 miles and still going strong. So I like personally like to have the warranty.

Does anyone know of a good place to purchase and extended warranty? I am talking about price, I do want to get a factory warranty. I have 25,000 miles on mine so I am not in a dire need. However I would like to purchase one. Thanks

The 2007 and 2008 systems are interchange able. The 2009 and 2010 are interchangeable, however you cannot go from a 2007 unit to a 2009 unit. The newer units have a hard drive in the unit itself.

I like the looks of the restyle, however not as much as mine.

I did make the swap. The GPS worked even without an external GPS antenna, however the clock and some other features wouldn't work. I then purchased and installed the external GPS antenna that plugs into the back and everything works fine, no need to do anything else. IT is really sweet. OUT

I realize that this is an old post, however has anyone else tried this swap with the correct factory nav unit and was there any issues? I am looking at a MKX w/out the nav and I found a nav out of the same year from a yard.
