I don't have many issues with my USB connected iPod. Many people do have problems though an I hopt to see them fixed with the software update. (AUX? that is as old school as CDs)

How do you rate a call from FORD? I've gotten diddley squawk.

The latest version 2.11 fixed some stuff but also broke other stuff. If I were you, I would reboot the system by pulling fuse 29 or loading the Delayed Reboot program from a USB stick. or wait for it to reboot its self.

That's common with MFT. Every time you start your car, it's like turning on you Windows PC. Everything has to load. Voice commands don't work until the startup is completed. Rumor has it that the new version we are all waiting for will reduce the startup time.

I seem to recall a fix for the poor phone audio. It's included in the new version of MyFord Touch coming out in Jan.

I wonder if you could smooth talk someone at your dealership. I had ratcheting headrest in an old Toyota. They were very handy. My friend was able to be more flexible with her hair-dos.

I find that the button on the steering wheel is unreliable. It does not act as quickly as I would expect so I usually press the button on the MFT screen. I hope this is another 'feature' that gets fixed.

When I was pulling the fuse, I would reinsert it right away. That was good enough to reset MFT. Now I use my Delayed Reboot app on my USB stick. None of these procedures lost settings.

I've found that if my system is messed up, I have to reset MFT. Some ways are more simple than others. As an expert MFT owner, I say that the best thing you can do to version 2.11 is the reboot it (or fuse 29 pull). A major ritual with the battery cables is un called for. UPDATE: Grammars

If you think about it the, MFT is nothing more then a computer and like all computers susceptible to gliches( power surges,and whatever else that may cause it to get corrupted signal) just just like your home or laptop computer, you removed its power , (turning it off will not do it.,because there is power still going to the MFT SYNK memory) When you reboot it will clears them and takes you back to factory reset, just the way it was when you recieved it. Reloading your datd is a small price to pay if to clear your problems. By disconnecting the cables,and shorting them together , you canot hurt anything. check it out. I have a 2005 Cadi.that a 12v lt cooler discharged the battery over night . After Jumpstarting the car , the engine and it's controles worked fine but nothing controled by the computer functioned correctly. I removed the battery cables and shorted them together , this shorted the plus and minus busses in the computer discharging the capacitor and clearing memory of any error signals. Allowing car and onboard computer to function correctly when restarted Like I said. Hard Core... just to get the MFT to work like it should. I hate resetting the plethora of setting in the Edge. repairing the phone and re-saving radio stations are bad enough. Don't forget the other settings... Backup camera, Auto Start, Liftgate, Lock/unLock, Display brightness, .... you get the idea.

Because of the Radical new grill on the Edge, I made it clear that I didn't want the front bracket. It spoils the look. I watched the Edge arrive at the dealership with bracket so I know the dealership didn't do it. My idiot dealership told me that they always order the bracket installed. (as if it was a perk) I demanded that they give me a new grill w/o the bracket. They obliged. They just happened to have one other Edge w/o the bracket so they did a swap.
