Did this come with any mention on why you were getting the extended warranty? Had you received previous letters telling you about the "Performance Upgrade"?

My factory installed remote start (push button) does not turn off the engine when the door is opened. I wouldn't like it any other way. I press the brake & hit the start button to get control of the car.

Nope. My feelings weren't hurt a bit. Your "bump" came off as if you were entitled to an answer. Why do you assume anyone would know where the hell the GPS antenna is located? Have you done any other research to find the antenna? If I knew where the antenna was I would take the pic. But after your last post, I would think twice before I posted it.

Where did you get your clear film?

HD radio doesn't need activation. If the channel you are listening to is broadcasting in HD, you will be able to toggle the HD on & off.

I started out great but missed a few near the end. I got 79.

I hope it's for the whole car. That would be lame if they limit it.

Hey. No offense taken and I can relate to where you are coming from. I was just trying to make the point that Ford does need to hold back options from the Edge so they can sell the MKX also. Options like glove box light and cooled seats.

What sarcasm. Those are all symptoms of MFT and I doubt that the new Sirius module will help

It is suspicious that some people have never had an issue. Is there a supply issue? Do some units not meet specs? Did Ford except them by mistake?

Ford knew the MFT was screwed up when the first Edge rolled off the line. They went ahead and kept it quiet hoping no one would notice. Ford must have thought their customers were a bunch of idiots and they wouldn't notice. Would it have hurt if Ford admitted the issues up front to ALL (unhappy AND happy) owners? Yes. It will still be nice to get an apology but it would have been better if they admitted this up front.

I shouldn't have to come crawling back to Ford asking for a comp. Ford knew what they had. I should have been informed when I was making the purchase and then offered the comp.

A month or two would have been palatable if they had disclosed to me about the issues when I was purchasing the car. They sold me a car with a working MFT....at least that was what I was led to believe. Trying to hide the issues is where Ford failed the most. It's been 14+ months. Ford has had plenty of time to come forward and apologize to me for selling me a system that they knew was broken. Lack of communication is the next area Ford failed.

Yes, They were stuck between a rock and a hard place. The issue I have, they went ahead and took my money for the system that did not work. It's as if they thought nobody would notice. Like I said since day one, I feel like there was some deception involved. They knew is MFT was a cluster and continued to sell it as a functioning system. Here is what I think they should have done (in hindsight): Tell me up front that the system had bugs and they were working on it and give me a $2000 credit.

There's the answer. Ford kept the glove box light out of the Edge so they would be able to make the Lincoln owners feel like they got something extra for their $$$.

It's that business decision that I'm so upset about. I can understand problems with software development. I can also understand why software should NOT BE RELEASED if it does not work. Why the hell did FORD release the 2011 Edge? I think Ford released the new Edge because they wanted to avoid bad press for delaying it. Ford really stuck it to me on this one. I feel like I need a shower.

Fold flat is handy when hauling long stuff for those home improvements.

That's BIG SHAME! I use the fold flat feature a lot.

Did you call FORD HQ or is this something the dealership did for you?
