These days, it seems like they are more concerned wit the "life" of the oil rather than the level. Life of the oil is based on driving conditions, not levels. There is still no excuse for ignoring level of oil in your crankcase.

Great review! Sounds like the built in Ford commands work great but the Nav system is lacking in the voice commands. The great thing is that we can upgrade the car with a USB stick. Let's hope we get upgrades!

The initial press releases early this year said a browser would be built into myford sync. Imwas thinking i could pull up to starbucks and connect the Edge to the wifi and then browse on the dash. The latest instructional videos don't show this but they do show a person plugging a phone into the hub to give the edge an Internet connection. Then a guy in the back seat surfs the net on his laptop connected to the Edge's hotspot. Bait & Switch?? Dealerships. Ya gotta love 'em My salesman has been caught in several lies. He had been telling me they had a white lmt on order and due last month. It never showed up and he won't tell me anything about it. Now he says it's a blue sport due in next week. Next week!? I think they got it in last week. I just saw the blue sport in the dealership's body shop this morning. Just sitting there with the rear bumper cover on the ground. They may not be out in out lies but you sure don't get the full story. Ya gotta love 'em...cuz it's the only way to buy a new car!!

I just called my dealership and was told that mine was still in production. I asked if he was looking at a report or was it a real-time status. It was a report. After fumbling through several webpages, he was able to get to a website and give a me the same status that Twitter folks gave me. Completed and waiting for a train. Cyberdman must not be able to pull up real-time status until the car is in transit.

That's sounding more like my situation. At one point, I noticed someone say that a "Ramp" is just a location in the plant. Joanne told me... ur Edge has been received by a carrier at a ramp location Kinda sounds like we are dealing with different interpretations of the status. Just get the car to me and I will quit stressing over it!

Mine will be looking for a slow ride to Kansas City. It will mostly get on a truck from there and travel 60 miles to my town...Topeka

Don't get me started on the "dealership mentality" ! I want the "Amazon Mentality" when I buy a car. If I had picked another dealer, i would be driving my new Edge now!. I made the mistake of ordering from the nice guys at the local dealership. Their allotment must have been limited to no end! I ordered in May but order didn't hit FORD until Aug. 20 The Oval Forum is using an older database than Twitter folks. cyberdman told me TBD today and Twitter told me On Ramp

Ha. I wish I knew that mine was rolling! I get conflicting info. I think there are two different databases of status. The folks monitoring the @FordCustService Twitter account have had the most up-to-date info. They are the people that told me it was looking for a train ride to KS. My dealer and other internet forums have said that it was not produced yet. TBD I think my dealer gets a weekly report and the twitter folks are Real Time Consider a private Twitter message to the two people monitoring the acount. They have the latest info. If you send a public message to @FordCustService then they will follow you. You can then do a private message to them. ( Tell them Wilson sent you but PLEASE BE NICE with them. I think this is a "in your spare-time" responsibility for them I think the person helping me is almost as excited about my new ride as I am. )
