Here is an example of why I wanted/needed AWD. The parking lots at race tracks can be hell at times. This weekend I went to the Kansas speedway to watch Nascar practice and qualifing. The parking lots are fields of grasss used twice a year. Driving through the acres of KS grass was a hoot with the AWD 18" wheels and big sidewalls. It was a smooth ride through the pasture to my parking spot. I wish I had this rig when I went to the Wingless Sprint Car races at Lakeside Speedway a few weeks ago. The parking lot was a swamp in some places.

That's not too bad for blizzaks and nice wheels. I had a 05 Tacoma xrunner that I got winter wheels & tires for. Having a mountable set ready for winter is the way to go AND you might as well get some wheels that at least look good. I needed them for the xrunner but I'll be able to do year 'round on this Limited AWD Edge in KS

You won't mess up the Nav but it will let you know that it's not inserted. A USB drive will work also. Depending on whatt iPhone / software you are using, you may have differant results on the USB playback. iPhone Bluetooth streaming has a lot of room for improvement I set my wallpaper but I haven't found how to make it (or any other screen) be the default screen. -
I wish I had this problem. I don't have a garage

UPDATE: When I first saw my car and the cargo cover installed in it, I hated it. I got to thinking that the dealership hadn't installed it right. So.. I decided to give the cargo cover another chance. In all reality, it's not too bad. and I now understand why it is built the way it is. The cover needs be flexible and allow for the seats to recline. With the seats in the upright position, the cover fits pretty tight. To fold the seats forward, You can leave it connected to the headrests and just disconnect the two hooks and two loops. I feel better about my $$$ spent now!

I have a iPhone4 on iOS4.1 I've paired the bluetooth and use it as a phone as well as stream audio via BlueTooth. When I've plugged the iPhone into USB (in addition to the iPod I have plugged in) I was able to navigate from the MyTouch screen just like an iPod. To view the pictures on it, I think you will need an RCA video adaptor. MyRouch needs to be able to browse the file system in order to upload th picture. I was able to get photos onto the MyTouch but I used a SD card to do that. My MyTouch has acted up in the past. At one point, I couldn't see any USB devices. Another time, the system became unresponsive. Those times I've been able to have the system reboot after I stopped, got out and walk around the car, get back in and restart the car. Another time I've pulled/replaced fuse 29 to get it to reboot. Most of my issues are with BlueTooth streaming ...but I've been obsessed with the challenge of getting it to work. Good luck! -
I would venture to guess that all they are going to do is pull a fuse to rest the IA system

Mine is working too. In fact, I sent driving directions from google maps to travel link and then downloaded them to the nav system. Pretty neat.

You're right. I noticed on a label under my hood that said my car was not legal in California...I'm in Kansas What the...

After upgrading iPhone 4 to iOS 4.2 pulling fuse 29 I've determined that Sync's part of BT Audio is working great now. The iPhone gets stupid at times and doesn't see that it's connected to a BT Audio stream. After a disconnect/connect from the iPhone, all works well

I was wondering the same thing. I like the BLIS but haven't noticed the cross traffic warning yet. Where are the cross traffic warnings displayed?

The way I understand it, the seat will not move forward until you are in the seat and starting the car. All other memory settings (ie mirrors and seat tilt up/down) will move to the saved settings when you unlock with the Fob.

Silly me. I was searching the PDF manual for the text that I saw on the menu. Looks like they used different verbiage in the manual Thanks! They don't actually say but I would assume the Quiet mode off will allow the engine to idle faster.

The menu for Remote Start has a "Quiet Start" option but haven't been able to figure out what that means. One suggestion that the radio would be offf if "Quiet Start" was set. On my car, the radio is off on both settings. Anybody got any ideas on what this is?

Or I'll just have to get a Murse(man purse) for my Fob

I got the cargo package and was embarrassed when I saw the cover.. Thing is, there is no way to mount a cover other than the rear seats. The PT Cruiser has an excellent cover with hard mounting points. Wish the edge had that solution.

I just got a call from a neighbor. My tailgate was up. I need a case for this big ass fob!

Well put! I agree, tires are the first line of defense. I had good tires last Christmas morning when my Camry's front end got high centered in a snow drift. If only I had AWD to pull myself out. Why NOT have AWD? Concern about the added parts? That's no excuse. This tech has been around for years.

I decided to upgrade my jail broken iPhone 4 ios 4.01 to iOS 4.1. We'll see if it helps with the BT Audio. I read on the my sync forum that Ford is saying 4.1 includes some fixes. Now I hope the 4.1 jailbreak comes out soon.

Adaptive Cruise control is one thing I was not ready to trust. I wouldn't mind hacking mytouch and my iPhone but Im not ready to mess with the systems that actually control the car

Oh! There is a little tool snapped inside the inside cover. Use it like a pair of tweezers. Still not easy but it helps. -

Yes! The seat is working like it should. They sure made it hard to acess the fuses though. -

A few questions I've formulated... Can anyone tell me what "Quiet" remote start is? I can't tell the difference between on/off Manual list "Remote Open" as a Window option. I don't see it in my Edge's menu though. Is this a MKX option? How does it work? How do I permanently disable the beeping backup sensor? I turn it off but the next time I back up, it's on again. -
That is a quick turn around! They must be getting caught up on their back log AND you must have a really good dealer. My car took about two weeks to get to me (in KS) once it got built. Lucky You!

I checked my 18s and 3 of them had 45 & one (right front) had 40. (Explains why it was pulling to the right a bit) I know that the door says 35 but I opted to try 40 to save gas and have a rougher ride.
