I tried the Send to Phone directions last week. It worked great!. When I got in the car, Sync told me about it, dialed to get the info, downloaded it and set my Nav's destination. It integrated great with the Nav system but I think it will work with the Ford Sync directions as well. I would guess that if you didn't have the SD Nav option that Sync would need to use your phone to download any changes during your trip. I can see where this wold be a great help when planning a complicated trip with several waypoints. I haven't tested that part yet but hope to in the future. Go to gogle maps, plan a trip and select SEND, CAR. This requires you to have registered your mobile phone number with sync

I did the xPlan and I still paid a Butt Load Worth every penny

I had mentioned else where that the Edge's LEDs looked like it got it's design from the 69 Mustang GT500.

e-Mel I think you are correct. After looking at my sticker again, I realize that I was wrong. It's not really the build date. My sticker says 8/20/2010 (friday) Customer service told me it wasn't scheduled to be built until week of 9/6 I was able to figure out when my Edge actually got built by signing up on syncmyride.com and checking the history of my Sync install. It told me sync was installed on 9/8. The car showed up on the ramp waiting for a train ride on 9/9

Ha! Mine took 4 months from order to delivery. BUT It only took a month from Build date to delivery. Two reasons for the 4 months...I ordered before they started building anything & my dealer had limited allocation.

I'm in the US & I keep my lights turned on to Auto at all times. Today in broad daylight, the LEDs were on as well as the amber lights. Can that be considered DRLs?

I took delivery of my car in a thunderstorm. I had to inspect it in the rain while the salesman sat inside. Needless to say, I didn't get a bow either! I made sure to note that on my Ford Survey

Good info. I would have said to change your router setting to allow all and then see who is connected. Interesting info about the USB stick. BTW, in a on-line chat with sync support, they said there is no update for the 11 Edge yet and that is why my attempts to report the install fails. I've messed with the WiFi and determined that the WiFi is useless until they come out with the browser.

Speaking of GLASS! I was just cleaning my windows (with Invisible Glass) and noticed that my roof is ALL Glass! I never paid that much attention (I have a Black Edge so my Vista roof blends in) From the inside, it looks like there would be some sheet metal on the roof because the rear moon roof doesn't take up the whole space. I guess I have less paint to care for than I thought! EDIT: I ordered some stuff from PoorBoys this afternoon and already have a FedEx tracking # . Quick!

I noticed the door handle placement also. It is a strange position (and the rubber is strange too) I find that when I'm getting in and out of the car in a tight parking stall, it's awkward for me to grab the handle to prevent me from banging the door on the car next to me. I'm used to grabbing the armrest and you can't do that on the Edge.

I haven't seen any mention of the care for the plastic body parts around the bottom of the car. What's the best way to care for that? I want mine to stay black. also What are your thoughts on the California Duster? It seems like it would scratch the finish.

Good for you! Glad you got your Edge. I also removed the cargo cover first thing but later realized that it is not so bad. Black with sienna seats must look awesome.

The LEDs are really cool. I'm in KS and have been too lazy to jump out of the car while driving to see if they were lit. Can anyone confirm that they stay on? I think the amber lights may stay on also.

I guess I wasn't very clear on that point. I assumed people would understand why AWD helps driving through a muddy Kansas field. I added the smooth ride comment as a plus to having the big rubber. If you've ever been to an event with 60,000 cars parking in a field, you would understand it could be hell when it rains
