  1. I think you observation are the norm. It's slow and it may be why many think the system is not working. You mentioned the animation. Is that what that is?!? What a joke. I hope they lose it and use the processor for something else. It's pretty cheesy on a slow system.
  2. LOL Nice ride. Looks like the New Jersey birds like the Earthy tone also
  3. II live in Kansas and we have a fair amount of snow/ice salt/sand during the winters but I bet it's nothing like Montreal. I've never rustproofed any of my cars and I haven't seen rust on my cars in the past 15-20 years. Do the new cars still rust in Montreal? I would think that the new materials used in modern cars would prevent the rust from starting.
  4. I tried pressing hard in the middle of the screen this morning and confirmed that my screen did not flex under the pressure.
  5. Well, Sync support told me that I had to reset to factory defaults and reset my iPhone. It helped about as much as pulling the fuse, but I lost all my other settings. When I used to have other types of phones, I would regularly power it down and restart to clean up it's memory. It did help with various issues. Support also told me there was no update to Sync and none on the horizon. I'm real interested in hearing the result of your re-flash. Be sure to wear that red tie you have on in your pic. You may get better service.
  6. Good question. I looked through my glove box and couldn't find any Nav documentation. Is there any?
  7. Good catch AXCL. I didn't notice that the text was referring to the center stack. I do know that I don't need to press hard on my screen. Mine feels like my old TomTom.
  8. I figured the Toyota emblem would get a rise. I did cut it off
  9. Twitter and cyberdman are looking at different status databases I think. "Released" may also be classified as in transit

  11. IT's a touch screen. You need to touch the button in the correct place. The system may be slower that you like so be patient. Here is a portion of the Touch manual... Using the touch sensitive controls on your system Your vehicle’s centerstack is equipped with touch sensitive switches for your infotainment and climate control systems. To activate or deactivate a feature, you need only touch the graphic with your finger. For optimum performance of these touch sensitive controls, please note the following: • The touch sensors are sensitive to light touch. You do not need to apply forceful pressure on these controls to use them. • Use your bare finger to touch the center of a touch control graphic. Touching off-center of the graphic may cause nearby control to activate/deactivate. • Ensure that your hands are clean, dry and free of moisture. • Since the touch control sensor operates based on the touch of a finger, you may have trouble using them if you are wearing gloves. • Metal and other conductive material should be kept away from the surface of the touch controls as this may cause electronic interference (i.e. control activation). Introduction 6 See End User License Agreement at the end of this book 2011 HMI-
  12. I may have come across a solution for the sensitive FOB problem.
  13. Interesting. Will the USB port be able to power the HD?
  14. That's cool! I don't think I ever had a ETA on mine. The transport of mine took about a week to get to KS. Once the railcar gets to destination, your car gets loaded on a transport and waits for a full load before it heads to the dealer. I was able to call the rail company and get a status with a voice activated system. You might try googling and see if you can find the phone number for your rail company.
  15. Snow & Ice already?!?! oh boy. I was just wondering (with election coming up and all) can you see Russia from your back yard up there?
  16. If you may notice, I think the front piece is pushed in too far and that is resulting in the female part of the snap to be too far in. The back piece can't get into it. This is starting to remind me of when I pulled my new Camry's console apart to install a iPod interface and a backup camera. I would hate to have to pull this console apart. I'll most likely let service do it while I have them look at my non-functioning Easy Exit seat issue
  17. OK Bag lady...I wear em already! I guess I need to start using the extra pockets I have to say though that this fob is touchy. I never had the issue with my Camry fob
  18. That might explain it all. I guess I can't wear my jeans from Jr High forever
  19. I just tried snapping it back in but I think the front piece is jammed too far inboard to let the clip catch. I'll work on it some more when I have day light Good to hear that someone else had the same issue though.
  20. I never sit in the passenger seat so I didn't notice this right away. The right side of the console is not snapped together. This picture is looking at the console just above the passenger seat and below the silver trim, looking toward the back of the car. Has anyone else seen any mis-aligned pieces in their car?
  21. WOW ! I'm honored. Now fix this damn SYNC stuff...would ya
  22. One way to track the assembly is to use your VIN and sign up on SyncMyRide. It will show you the date that Sync software is installed. My car shipped the day after sync was installed.
  23. Your salesman may be printing out the report daily but from what I hear, the database is updated once a week on thursday night. The BlueOval Forum may be able to help you. Simply submit a new topic with your VIN http://www.blueovalf...ford-employees/ Cyberdman was the guy that gave me the railcar # He is a Ford employee doing this on the side Here are his guidelines: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/41207-attention-for-updates-please-read-me/
