Hey! back up on that towing package!!! The package is more than a trailer hitch. A hitch with wiring, a rear bumper contoured to accommodate the hitch, a bigger radiator, and sway control (may be other stuff too). If you have the package, you'll have a menu item to manage the sway control. That's why this is installed at factory and not the dealership.

On gotcha there...If the system is locked up, how do you get to the reboot button.? I've considered wiring a button to fuse 29 but jeez! ...this is s new car and it should work. Ford needs to communicate with us and let us know they are working on a fix.

Hi. Good to hear you got your new ride! Yes, many many others are having issues. This MyTouch system has several bugs and we are all hoping Ford will come out with a software upgrade SOON! This is the canned boot screen. Your system rebooted. It' not really scheduled maintenance I've always suspected that each MyTouch system needed to be rebooted a couple of times after the initial install on the assembly line. What phone DOES Sync like for the contact photos? My iPhone isn't supported so I dug out my old BlackBerry Curve and sent the phone book to the Edge. Still no photos. Come on. 2 of the most popular types of phones are not supported?!! I go to Ford Sync website to view the compatibility list and I get an error. I think the Sync/MyTouch team has gone into hiding because they sold us a bill of goods and people are beginning to realize it. How the hell can they get away with marketing all these features if they only work on one type of phone....and then don't let you know what phone that is! WTF?

Do you know where in the car this installs? Does Coastal have detailed install instructions ie how to take the dash apart? Wow, as if the MyTouch isn't buggy enough on it's own. This should add that extra level of "WTF is going on"

Thanks for the info. I just went out and reset everything. Everything works as expected except for the part where it needs to move the seat forward. While outside of the car I laid the seatback way down, moved it all the way forward, locked the door. Opened the door with Fob and the seat slid back and raised the seatback into place. All that works great until it the car has to slide the seat forward. It just can't do that part on it's own.

Have you tried the AWD display on the left 4" screen yet? It's odd for me to be saying this but, I can't wait for some winter to come to KS so I can test my AWD.

There was a stretch of time (1980-2000) where I drove a 1955 Dodge (no seat belts, airbags, or HEAT, a hard metal dashboard). There were no washer bottle to worry about and it started everyday. I tell myself that every car I buy is the last one...but I never opt for the extended warranty or rust prevention because I KNOW I will want a new car soon. The tech is so intriguing. I heard about My Ford Touch and had to have it. Good thing it came out on a Edge first! I don't see myself driving a Focus. I vote NO on rust protection

The Touch screen isn't an iPad/iPhone and swiping is not an option. touch the buttons and be patient. We are hoping for a software upgrade next month (Oh God please let it be next month)

I could see spraying the undercarriage I guess but if anything requires drilling holes ... I would avoid it. It seems like that would screw up the integrity of the car and let moisture into places it was never supposed to be in. Who am I to talk? The current version of the WiFi stuff has no browser and that is what would be disabled until you are parked. Current functionality is limited. They are now showing that you can plug a Verizon (or other) USB 3g modem into the USB port and connect to it. You then setup your Edge to serve as the hotspot for other devices (like laptop) in your car WHILE DRIVING. Kinda of useless unless you run a carpool with several people wanting to use their laptops. I was disappointed when I saw that. I also hoped I could have the Edge connect to my JailBroken iPhone's MiFi but so far it hasn't been able to connect to it. It says the security key is wrong...even if I have no security set on the iPhone.

That's kinda good to hear. I need to take mine in to have them look at it. My seat doesn't know how to move itself forward. I was able to fix it once by pulling fuse 7. The last I tried that, it was no help. Now I have the Easy Entry turned off. Did they give you an idea of how long it will take to get the module?

Nope. I got the package the NAV sim came in, the MyTouch & Edge manuals. bummer
