I tried with a BB Curve (not sure of model right now) What model of BB do you have Luvford?

The SyncMyRide site has to applications that are supposed to help people sync their phone and iPod. I guess they are just for the first version of Sync. Ya, what phone do you have that uploads the pictures?

Ya. I know this is not a popular subject. Saying this kind of marketing is OK because Apple does it doesn't make it right. I still love my new Edge and all that it can do. I would have liked it better if it did everything they said it was going to do.

Has anyone used the SyncMyPhone app to upload contacts to Sync? I wonder if it would support Contact Photos on the My Touch.

Why are you arguing with me? I provided Ford documentation of why I was expecting more features. Yes, If you dig though enough small print you find info that says Late Availability ...that's real clear now ain't it? They said that in January. I got my car 10 months LATER. Find someone else to argue with akirby.

The Sync services have worked for me from the start. I'm not sure if the dealer activated it or not. I had already created a SyncMyRide account before I got the car. I tied it to my cell phone number and it worked. I've gotten weather maps and sports. Used Google Map's Save to car option to get a destination on the car.

I never mentioned that I had buyers remorse. I am glad I bought the Edge and understand that not all features are here now but hope they will be at a later date. I was simply revisiting the original announcement in January and what is not included in our version.

I bought the car for many reasons. I didn't get the full feature set that was being reported. This was one of many news articles released at CES. Ford was spinning this to the bloggers. I am a member of the general public and have no idea what this "Job 1" crap is. While some people (like you) may have seen through the deception, others did not.

These features were fed to the press and Ford cleverly danced around the subject of what was going to be available in what. I ordered my Edge based on deceptive marketing by Ford. Ford said they were partnered with Apple. To my dismay, that didn't mean squat! I never found any documents outlining what features were included in this version of My Ford Touch or stating that these features will not be available in my 2011 edge when I was ordering. When you get a new MyFord Touch vehicle (or whatever its successor will be called), you can put your preferences -- color scheme, your radio presets, your music tags, your seat position, etc. -- on a USB stick or even on an SD card, via the new slot found in upcoming MyFord Touch vehicles.

I noticed that my backup camera's picture quality varies. In the daylight, I've noticed that the picture quality starts out poor and then gets much better as the camera adjust to light levels.

I've had my Edge for a month and OMG! the sticker has already worn off of my remote. How do I remote start again????

I recall your's making trek to the boat in WA the week mine was built. We ended up taking delivery the same week I THINK The urgency for me to get to the dealership has increased. I need to report these issues soon!

One demo video I saw was implying that this system would work best in a mall parking lot. I never expected much out of that system. BLIS is good tho.

Choff, our cars were built pretty much the same week, right? Or yours may have been a week before mine. So, the issues are not dependent on build dates. I hope those people who are trouble free , stay trouble free.

How about this feature I came across tonight...My headlights would not come on until the MFT system finished a 30 second boot sequence. NOT comforting to know that the headlights are controlled by My Fn Touch. What happens if MFT decides to go brain dead while I'm driving down the highway at night? Will I have lights? Will I have Air Bags? Will I have brakes?? FORD, you've earned this red card!

I keep my lights on auto at all times. Tonight, I started the car and the lights would not come UNTIL the sync system finished starting up (30 seconds). This SUCKS! Why would FORD connect vital functions through this buggy experiment they call My Ford Touch? Will My headlights go out when I least expect it? I sure hope my brakes and air bags aren't' connected thru this POS. I was able to cope with the issues My Fn Touch was having because it was just affecting audio systems (and possibly my Easy/Exit)

I just checked my rear bumper and it looks like there was a knockout to allow the hitch to poke out. Interesting about the Sync module controlling other features of the car. I better get into the dealership and get mine on order. I wonder if it has anything to do with my Easy Entry/Exit issue among other things on Sync. Random audio source selection at startup hit & miss BT Audio connection hit & miss USB connection Sync freeze up error messages that don't go away until I restart the car I know there are more but can't think of them now

Are you using BT Audio or USB?

How could you do such a thing?!?! just kidding. I did that once with my Camry Hybrid. Of course it was a little harder to tell when it was running. I would have heard the warning beeps if I hadn't had my headphones in my ears. The Ford doesn't beep at you though. That would be helpful

I'm no expert here but I think I've learned a lot from Canuck in the past couple of weeks (I had many questions). DI gives a good explanation of what this towel is for. They aren't good for drying. Instead, use the DI Microfiber Waffle Weave Drying Towel When I mentioned streaking while using S&W, Canuck suggested the most plush MF towel...Microfiber reTHICKulous Towel - 16" x 15" To apply product, use an applicator pad. Then you could use the MF you mentioned to remove the polish or sealant.

To play more songs from Album or artist you can use voice commands or use one of the buttons at the bottom of the screen. On the cover art flow, it sucks. You have to have their lame database system (GraceNote) manage your cover art, then you can drill down to the browse by album screen. Their system has hardly any cover art. Then to navigate, you click the arrow at the top of the screen. I think you have to be in Park also.
