I'm just saying that they keep leading us along. Announcing a fix when they really don't have one. Yes they made changes to the interface but I bet the testing is uncovering more bugs that there "focus groups" didn't report.
I'm getting more skeptical as time goes on and getting tired of this BS that the new version will be here any day now.
I still have doubts that won't diminish until I have evaluated the update myself.
At this point, I would not purchase a car with MFT. That may change if I see that Ford has fixed MFT. I've been fooled by Ford's promises before so I won't believe it until I see it.
and...
where is this update that they bragged about last year? If they had a fix it would have been released by now. I bet they are still struggling with the buggy system.
I came across a 1TB flash drive for $50. It would fit very nice in the console.
I gave it to my son before I had a chance to test it.
Has anyone got any experience with the 2.5" UsB drives?
I'm not big on FaceBook but I stopped by the Edge site. Tech there is telling people to pull the SD card or hit the voice button in hopes of fixing the MFT. Add that to the list of ways to temporarily fix MFT.
This reminds me of when I pulled my SD card for a week. I was testing to see if that would help my system. Nope. It didn't help a thing.
I stopped by the Ford Edge FaceBook page just to see if there was any news.
It looks like the people posting there are more pissed than this forum.
This person sums up how he loves his My FordTouch
The solution I developed is based the XM/Sirius radio update that used a "Delayed Reboot"
It's not a supported app, It's a user based hack to fix the f'd up MFT.
Cum on Ford! release the "performance upgrade"
Gee Wiz
Why are these people so unhappy??
My Ford Touch has screwed (censored) us (MFT owners) all.
A year and a half with this POS and no apology from Ford yet!!!
My ass is real sore.
I fixed this problem. If you download the lastest zip file from my post again, it will include the version that does not require you to reload it.
I keep my USB drive in my car and use it over and over w/o reloading it.
I printed the TSB and took it in with me. They confirmed that it applied to me and then ordered the parts. I had the fix done a week later.
Boy! Am I glad I had it done. It works great!
Don't put it off any longer. You'll be glad you did it.
The Master reset does wipe out all your saved settings. I don't do that one anymore.
One of the most annoying features of 2.11 MFT is the random audio source. Out of the blue, it will decide to switch.
If you have a VIN, sign up on the SyncMyRide website. You can monitor the installation & version of the software. You'll see when they install it in factory.
I actually think that there were more than one supplier of the MFT APIM. You got A...I got B.
Some APIMs can handle the poor programming better than others.
Oh my!
What's that warm feeling coming over me.....?
Did this guy imply that the older the car, the longer the install? That tells me there has been hardware updates. over the past year.
Storage is lacking. The area behind the center stack is a neat idea but it's not practical and hard to get to.
The abyss under the arm rest needs help too.
I've always hated the way the phone worked. It's just too slow.
The press releases for the "Performance Upgrade" really made a point that the phone worked great and all they did to it was to make the buttons look more like buttons.
I'm curious. Do your contact's photos come over to your edge?
What iOS version are you using?
My iPhone 4s works ok but it's hard to say when the MFT is so flakey. There's an update to MFT coming out in a month or so. Everything will change ....
