I can now confirm...Windows Phone 7 Works like a charm with the Edge Contact Photos & addresses Audible text messages BT Audio streams without intervention I went to the AT&T store today and took the store's Window Phone 7 device out to the car to test. I paired it, saw the contact photo and I sent a sms to it. The right screen prompted me to have it read out loud. Way Cool! I left the store with the Samsung Focus (figured the "Focus" would work with a Ford). I've got 30 days to test drive it but it looks like it was made for the Sync/Touch system so I may keep it. I asked about the Black Friday special. $25 off on friday. I talked them into $20 off today. I figured this is a small investment compared to the 40k I spent on the Edge. I have an adapter for my iPhone's mini sim that makes it a full size sim. I'm hanging onto the mini sim just in case I go back to iPhone 4 I was startled today when I started the car and a Podcast started streaming w/o my help. Mind you that this does not fix all of the Sync/Touch issues but it sure helps. Now I just need to get over the learning curve of the new system. I also need to find replacements for Pandora, Stitcher and other apps...that kinda sucks but it's worth it UPDATE: Did I say Sync still has issues? BT Audio is having problems connecting to the Focus even after a re-pairing

And you didn't have to drop a credit card?!? Hope that works for you. When my seat first started acting up, I pulled fuse 7 and it fixed it for a while. A few days later, it was back to it's quirky behaviour

There is a plastic funnel stored back there. It is to be used for the as a gas funnel. It opens the No Cap's throat so you can pour gas out of a can. Is that what you saw?

My Edge had the same issue as yours. They replaced the seat module today and it works great now

I didn't predict things would work but I did hope for the best. I've only had a brief test with my iPhone 4 on iOS4.2.1 It has BT streamed but it's still not perfect when it comes to connecting. I'll know more after a few tests. I did notice the little output icon on the iPhone's volume slider has changed. I hope it works better. (dealership tells me today that there is no Sync Update)

When rear wipers first came on the scene, they used to put a separate bottle in the back. Pretty sure there is only one bottle and it's in the front.

I think you and I have the same reasons for wanting Windows 7 vs BB I installed iOS 4.2 today also. When I got my car back from the shop, I deleted the pairing and re-paired. In my brief tests the phone recognize that it was connected to BT Audio (after clicking on BT Audio 3times on the Touch screen). Also, I noticed the little icon on the iPhone volume bar (where you select the output) has changed

My Edge was in the shop all day to fix Seat Module and Sync update if there was one. THERE IS NO SYNC UPDATE YET!

People who have a working system will not have an issue with this commercial. I have major issues trying to get features to work. Does my system show contact photos? No! I guess that is why I am so critical to the marketing of this stuff. It's all left wide open and never really says the system works. It's asking me if mine does it. NO It doesn't! I am still happy with the new ride but I am trying to bring to light the clever marketing that is being used

Choff, I hope mine does work soon also. It's kinda funny (ha ha) that the ad is left open and prevents me from holding Ford's feet to the fire. The ad says nothing! Did I say Clever??

Busted! I had no idea there were laptops with active USB ports when powered down. Now we need to define "Off"

The commercial does not make any statements that the new Edge does this stuff. It merely asks if your's does it . It's left wide open for you to assume. Very Clever

I think Google is the reason that this forum is the only place you find reports of problems. The first thing people do is Google. I found this forum via Google. This forum is THE PLACE to go.

Ford has two systems. Sync and My Ford Touch. My Ford Touch is the new touch system found in in the 8" screen on the 2011 Edge. Sync is in many other Ford models. The 4" screen in the 2011 Edge's cluster is a version of Sync. That said, The new Edge has both systems. They try to stay in sync but the current My Touch software bugs prevent that from being a smooth experience.

Ha! Too Funny. I was surprised too. I've since gone onto Sirius' website and see where they have kind of a cafeteria plan for these features. Travel Link and/or Traffic in addition to the lame radio options. I may opt for the smallest radio option to get just the Travel & traffic features.
