  1. You can't understand the safety issues unless you have had a My ford Touch system act up while driving. Let the record show..."a broken Sync is distracting."
  2. iPhone 4.2.1 helped. Touch still needs help. i still have to hit the Touch screen several times to get the BT Audio connection to work with the iPhone. I'm not saying phones are perfecet and Ford needs to program to each one. I'm saying that Ford needs to handle the unexpected errors that cause it to go Fuse 29 brain dead. Step away from the ford kool-aid
  3. Windows Phone 7 is getting packed up and returned tomorrow. I really love the Audible SMS and contact photos but I couldn't get Sync to connect to BT Audio any more. Microsoft Sync can't sync to a Microsoft phone. That is pretty lame After retesting my iPhone 4 with the latest update, I found that it is much better about connecting to BT Audio. BTW: Windows Phone 7 operating system SUCKS!
  4. I don't have your logic Trisha but I also thought about hooking the net to the knobs but then... I saw in the manual that those two knobs are for grocery bags. The utility hook can be used to hang small items such as grocery bags, etc. Do not hang more than 10 lb (4.5 kg) on the hook. The manual says this for the cargo net: The cargo net secures lightweight objects in the cargo area. Attach the net to the loops and anchors provided. The drawing shows it in the vertical position
  5. I'm an iPhone 4 user and was frustrated with the BT Audio. Were my issues because of the iPhone? Many Sync fanboys would say Yes. I test drove a MicroSoft Phone 7 device the past few days. A Microsoft phone should work with Microsoft Sync...right? I was happy to see that Audible SMS and contact photos worked. Syncing to BT Audio worked a couple of times then it just flat out quit working. Pulling fuse 29 & factory resets were no help. Now I'm back to my iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.1 and it has been working with BT Audio great now. I'm pretty comfortable saying that Sync is the root of all the problems. Not the phones. If Sync has an issue with a phone, it should have error handling to deal with it.
  6. Just curious ...of course. Why? Did your spill some acid, doing a mod, or what?
  7. Thanks for the info. I'll be interested to see your future updates.
  8. Windows Phone 7 stopped connecting to BT-Audio and re-pairiing was no help. Finally, I chose Master Reset from the Touch menu and was able to get BT Audio going again. UPDATE: That didn't last long. No pairing now. Even with a master reset.
  9. Another cold morning so another chance to test the heated seats. The seats are actually heating! I was expecting the seat to feel hot to the touch (like when I'm sitting on it). When in reality, they are just warm and more importantly NOT COLD Come on Winter!
  10. Sorry to hurt your feelings kirby but it is in the delivery. You based your post on other people's posts that were not substantiated. The rumored release of the software never materialized. I'll still believe it when I see it AND I hope the birdy is right.
  11. I posted these photos a couple of months ago... http://goo.gl/meKF7
  12. I've been waiting for cold temps to test this out. This morning it is 18F, All the climate controls are set to auto but the seats never heat up. 18F should be cold enough...right?
  13. Hi Choff. Now that I am test driving a Microsoft Phone 7 and still having some Touch issues, I think Touch stills needs boo coo help. I think the iPhone just helped to bring the issues to the forefront. I think iOS4.2 helped the iPhone's BT Audio issues but I moved on to Windows Phone 7 when I saw that it did audible SMS and contact photos/addresses
  14. I think the head rest can be removed. You just need to stick an allen wrench into a hole to release it.
  15. Well, now I'm not yelling lemon yet, I have noticed that I have been distracted by the broken technology that was put in the car to prevent distractions. Kinda of ironic.
  16. I have a 2011 limited. I thought this stuff was standard on all 2011 models cuz I didn't see this listed as a feature.
  17. Yep. it is really this bad. It's as though they hired a bunch of interns to program this system
  18. Calls made from the phone 7 sounded good on the car speaker. The Voice Mail lady sounded great. The messages I left on my work's voice mail sounded like I was in a car. Background noise was annoying when I wasn't talking. When I was talking, the noise was cancelled out. I was able to get this phone for the subsidized $219.99 prize minus $20. My daughter's line was available for an upgrade so I used it. It was kinda of a shell game but we got it done. I had to call ATT today have them put my unlimited data back on my line. They had knocked me down to the $25 2gb plan but with a little talking, I got grandfathered back into unlimited for $30/mo The sim adapter I got worked great after I inserted the mini sim all the way into the adapter and reinserted into phone. The SMS stuff is really cool. Text to voice sounds great. Still no BT Audio today UPDATE: I re-Paired the phone and BT Audio streamed
  19. You are not alone. The right side of my BAMR sits higher in the back also.
  20. Hey! Has anyone been able to go to the SyncMyRide website to check the software version on the recently built Edges? I wonder if it's the same that we've had since day 1
  21. I must say that I do like the iPhone much better. I'm still leaving my option to return this WP7 open. The working Touch features are neat though. I'm curious to see if I can get the BT Audio to connect today. It wasn't able to last night UPDATE: No luck in getting Sync to connect to Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7 today. I pulled the phone battery, pulled fuse 29, deleted device, & re-paired it. The phone connects but no BT Audio today
