Ford's server in Dearborn is having troubles today. They were unable to complete the update on my Edge. They say my system is the same as it was when I brought it in. FORD'S SYNC team: Kinda like a bunch of monkeys f#@king a football

My service department has given up. They were never able to complete the upgrade because of the servers in Dearborn. At least my Edge is still in one piece!! Thank god for that! Since this was the second time for a Sync false alarm, the service mgr is going to use a car off the lot to test with first.

My Service Manager just called to tell me that the Ford website was saying nothing was available. They called the Ford Hot Line and learned that Ford was having an issue with the website. I'm still waiting. What a cluster ! UPDATE: Service Mgr did say that it was a big update "about 4 pages"

Heck. Ask them to double check the sync versions and have it upgraded while you wait for the weather to clear.

My guess is that you aren't getting a new module. The official update is going to bring your bricked one back to life. Either way, Good Luck!!

How has your Touch been working? any issues? The update is actually BD where you have AG This numbering thing is wacky

I'm scheduled for the update the first thing tomorrow (Wed). I double checked with the tech...he has his cable!

I had wondered about that. Just how special can a USB cable be?

I'm lucky enough to be in possession of my 11 Edge lmtd. I've been very very patient with the current Sync. Any reports of improvements are welcomed.

A Mazing! :-) You are a special person on this forum. I'm glad we agree. I hope you realize how blessed lucky you are to have a bug free Edge. It's really frustrating to have the bugs.

My service rep is aware that I have been keeping abreast of this stuff. He didn't know anything about the TSB (he deals with service on a higher level) He has a Sync tech that is supposed to be in the know. I just asked him to check with his Sync dude and get back to me.

Don't forget, For $70 I also got the rear full width mat. If WeatherTech comes up with a front mat fro the 2011, I'll consider it. These are good for now.

I gave my service mgr the heads up and asked him to have his Sync guy check it out. I also mentioned the required usb cable. I'll update when I get any more info. (kinda scared to take it in for the update. will my system get bricked?)

Sorry for the delay in getting this photo out. I was working on collecting some dirt on the mat. It makes it easier to see when up against the black carpet.

According to other posts, (Here is Waldo's post) There seems top be a TSB 10-24-9 to address Touch issues. Has anyone had their system updated this week? If so, how's it working for you?
