  1. Have you seen the ProClip mount? I wonder where they plan on putting it.
  2. I was always setting off the alarm or opening the rear gate. I've since learned that I needed to separate the fob from the rest of my keys. Now I keep my Fob in my jeans watch pocket and the keys in another. Your custom case sounds interesting. At one point, I was toying with using the case I had for a pocket knife.
  3. They are all leather. the edges of the seats are some other material though

  6. Wow! The emotions that have surfaced here are very strong. It amazes me how personal people are taking all of this. This is a forum to share information. Let's respect each other's point of view when they share. Be understanding of frustrated Edge owners that are looking for the support that can be found here. Be understanding of new contributors. Guide those who don't know the proper forum etiquette. Don't call them names. There is a great deal of information flowing through this forum. I've learned a great deal and have had the enjoyment of resolving others' questions/problems. I will continue to post my learnings and opinions and ask that you respect them as I will respect your's.

  9. I just tested this. I got the low fuel warning then I went to the i menu and it displayed "1 warning" but wouldn't let me click into it
  10. I'd be more understanding if BT Audio worked 95% of the time. How about 50%? Every time I get in the Edge, it's a mystery as to what will and won't work. I paid big bucks for a automobile that works 100%. I didn't purchase my Edge thinking stuff would not work. Do you have issues with your My Ford Touch system?
  11. Correct. It's not the aerospace industry. Many more lives are at stake here. The auto industry serves millions of people who stake their life on the quality of their car. I would hate to be the driver of a new car who's brakes were almost to spec. I want a car with 0% chance of failures. Why would I expect anything else? Would you be comfortable knowing that your car's brakes had a 95% chance of working?
  12. Thanks for the post Pinkedge. I hope your situation gets resolved soon. 600 dealers times x owners = "Wide Spread" AND the fact that they knew all about this is a shame. This brings to mind when I mentioned Deceptive Marketing in a post a month or 2 ago. I was attacked by other forum members. Members that did not own a 2011 and had/have no idea what frustration we are going through.

  14. This IS a widespread problem for those who have the 2011 model. "Stuff happens" like going to market with a system that they knew was half-baked. What??? You know that if this was an issue with a popular Japanese auto, it would be front page news and recalls would have been in order. This Touch problem has been swept under the carpet. I have noticed that the press honeymoon is over. Recent reviewers have caught onto the fact that the system is half-baked and not living up to the initial press releases. Check out CNet's recent MKX review and the Car Tech Live podcast. They were advising people to purchase Fords without the new Touch system
  15. My dealer doesn't have the update. They tried all day yesterday to download it. Who's to say what would have happened if they had the update. Sounds like there are many failed attempts to update the system. Ford has totally screwed this pooch and they knew it when the went to market. PinkEdge is clearly frustrated and for a good reason. She is entitled to her opinion.

  19. Your situation does suck. Don't sit around and complain that the dealership hasn't called you. They probably forgot about you. Get in the dealerships face. Keep calling them. Just don't let them think you are content to wait. If they are waiting for a part, tell them to use one from a car they have on the lot. There is no excuse to be without your car this long.

  21. Sounds like the developers of this download program had something to do with the current Sync update for the 11 Edge. what a mess
  22. Really?!? Now my head is really starting to hurt. This Sync team is amazing. Ford should hire a few experts to manage the army of interns they are using.
  23. Sounds like a symptom that can be fixed by the recent upgrade...oh wait. That's not a good idea. Pull fuse 29 instead
