The view does exist. I've used it Make sure your system is setup to display album art and to use the GraceNote database for the artwork. Park the car, browse music by album (there may be another button to see the carousel display) The trick is that you need to be stopped for this to display. also, The Gracenote database sucks! hardly any artwork I found this in an old post... The Touch manual says... Gracenote Cover Art on/off: When turned on, this feature will pull in cover art from the Gracenote Database for your music files. This will override any art from your device. This feature defaults to off. To view your album art in a 3D carousel: Press Browse > Music > Albums > Cover Art. If the Gracenote cover art feature (covered in the previous section) is turned on, you will be able to touch and drag the screen with your finger to view your album art. Tap on an album to select.

The new Ford tech is great but I think it has eclipsed the knowledge of many of the service techs. Among other things, I think Ford does need to make the update process more idiot proof.

I've been putting off my update also. I've been getting used to not having the iPhone audio (usb or BT). It's times when I have the driver seat try to squeeze me through the steering wheel that I wished I had scheduled it to be done again (first attempt at update was a failure) I called my service dpt yesterday to schedule only to find out the tech is in Philly for the holidays. I hope he can make it back to Kansas soon! I asked the Sync project manager (last week's on-line chat) about the issues with the update. He said there were problems with the delivery of the update and they have resolved them.

I got word from Proclip this morning that the 2011 Edge mount is now available. There are two options. A high mount and a low mount. With the word that the iPhone will need to be tethered for the coming Pandora app, I will be getting a mount. I just need to decide upper or lower. I've had ProClip in a few other cars and I really like them. I just slide the phone into the mount. No messin' with cables because the mount is always connected. I've had issues in the past with Easy Exit/Entry features of the driver seat. The "module" has been replaced. A few days ago, I shut the car down and "Christine" started moving the seat forward. Smashing my fat gut into the steering wheel! I thought I was going to be killed!! I quickly jumped to safety ...whew! WTF!?!? Can I wait for the update???

Oh no!! Is there any chance of getting to another dealership? Try going at it this way...Tell them you have problems (you pick 'em) with sync and tell them they need to fix it. Suggest that there is a TSB that addresses your problems. It's Under Warranty!!

Something just came to mind when you mention that a loaner worked flawlessly. On the assembly line, Ford is loading sync via Wi-Fi. Could that process be flawed? This might explain why some work and others don't.

Me too. I figured out that fuse 5 is a spare fuse that can fill in when needed.

Will the new Oil Brain in this Edge be expecting a certain type of oil?

I've got 3500 miles on my Edge and when I pull up the Oil Life on the left menu, it tells me it's 78%. At this rate, I may have to change the oil next summer !?
