This is pretty confusing. No idea what it all means but I have been able to see the changes when the update was installed. Check out the screenshot I attached in the previous post and you'll see the BE version

Looks like you chopped off the last portions of the lines where it says the BE at the end of the SYNC compatible software.

When my dealership tried & failed to install the update last month, I had 4 (AJ) entries in the history. I think you better contact your dealership. I had to re-pair my iPhone, set the clock to use GPS, and set my backup camera options. I think that was it. Sirius & AM/FM were retained.

Remote Start: Press the lock button once THEN Press start twice There is a recent update for the Sync system. You should have the update applied from your dealership. This fixes several issues. It should take the dealership no more than 2hrs to apply the update

I noticed the lack of places to put my stuff right away. The under arm console is huge but a I would like a better tray that fits in it. The coin tray is a joke.

I'm just waiting for Adaptive Cruise to be more widespread. That way when one jerk on the highway slows to 55, EVERYONE will slow to 55 . I prefer to manage my own speed. Not have the idiot in front of me.

The BE was never meant to be installed by customers. They have since removed it from the site. BD is not required first (if you have the dealer do it). Mine was updated at the dealership directly to BE

(Do you mean BE and not EB) When your Edge gets to the dealership, have them update to the latest (happens to be BE now) There was one other update (BD) but BE it the latest.

I was seeing strange results on SyncMyRide yesterday when i was using Google Chrome. I would hit refresh but Chrome was still caching the old info. I went to Internet Explorer and was able to see where (AJ) was installed then BE after that. have you used the Status checker app found on SyncMyRide?

That's odd! I wonder why are mine correct? I never got the BD update. I had the BE applied at the dealership Here is a Sync thread where a Sync Software specialist clears up the confusion with the version numbers for the update. They screwed up and the BE should never have made it to the website and was not meant for user install. It was meant for dealership install.

I haven't noticed any scratches on my Black Sony Plastic console. I suppose if you have a kid or dog walking on it, it may scratch

Ford recently released AppLink for the Ford Focus. This installs Pandora, Stitcher and other other apps on the sync system. The apps work with your smart phone to stream internet content. The AppLink apps allow you to control those apps from the sync interface. Ford says the version for MyFordTouch owners will be released early 2011. Until then, I fire up Pandora on my iPhone and stream it BT Audio. Thumbs up/down option has to be done from the iPhone however I can skip to next track (if connected with BT Audio. If connected via USB, next track causes the iPod program to start)

I always thought the camera was good quality and noticed that there must be two modes (daylight/night) One of the first things I noticed after the BE update yesterday was the quality of the camera. It seems to have improved in the daylight. I didn't notice improvement in low light)

You must have a button selected on the Sirius screen (ie replay). de-select the button and you will have the screen the back.

A couple of things I noticed this morning after the lasted update... There is now a new beep for cross traffic warning and it seems more sensitive. (It went off when I was backing into a parking stall) As far as I can tell, my ambient lighting is correct. All orbs give the correct color.

Even if you don't have any problems, you should get the update the next time you go to the dealer. I think the backup camera quality has improved & you'll need the update when the app link software is released

I think I finally have the car that I thought I was buying in September. Since the update, it's been operating like it's supposed to! The switching to BT Audio and back to USB is real snappy. I connected my iPhone 4 to USB and played Pandora. I then selected BT Audio and only missed a beat of the Pandora stream. The iPhone switched output to match what I selected on the Touch. Perfect! also, Is it me or did the quality of the backup camera improve? It looks really sharp now.

I noticed my BD missing this morning also but I assumed that was because it was getting installed at the time

My history looks the same as yours. Even with the AJ thrown in the mix

I got my update :happy feet: UPDATE: I used IE instead of Chrome to check status and now I see the history BT4T-14D544-BE SYNC GEN 2 The update was just a couple of hours (a free oil change took up some of that time :-) All seems to be working well with the USB and BT Audio so far! I did check the SMS Text to Speech and there is an option for it but when I go into phone settings, it tells me that it's still not supported on the iPhone (no surprise but someone had mentioned it earlier)

Interesting. Looks like the Toyota system is brain dead until you pair your phone with it. At least Sync can perform most functions without a phone connected.

I've used the master reset button a few times on the original version. When you say the factory remote...are you talking about remote start?

A 2008? I wonder if the 2011 Sport is the same.
