we had our first snow (8") in Topeka today. I was stoked! Now I could test the AWD. It was great all day. Plowing my own path on the straight runs with no issues. On my way home from work, I drove through an esses curve on a back road and all most lost control while trying to power through it. I had to back off the gas and float through the bends. It did act like the traction control was driving for me but I didn't notice the light flashing. I suppose some good blizteks would have helped. I'm running the standard 18"s on mine.

Oh my! I got screwed out of $1200 then. I should have opted to upgrade after I took delivery rather than when I ordered the car. Misleading is right! Why do they do that?

Mention that there is a TSB that addresses this. They should be able to pull up the TSB that tells them to update the software.

I really like my new Edge...even MORE since I got the latest software update! (Choff, get the update...you'll like it even more!)

Now I'm confused. However, the press releases can be very creative at times. Has anyone actual been successful adding Nav?

I have the update on my Limited AWD. Colors and Logo are correct. I had the BE update applied at the dealership. Could the update results differ based on the config of your Edge and if you applied BD before BE?

Good point. My previous ride (Camry Hybrid) was always off about 3 mph. It had me going faster than my GPS app on iPhone as well as mile markers on the interstate. I still got speeding tickets! I'll check the Edge when I get a chance.

First , have you mentioned this to the dealership? Then, check syncmyride.com and verify that the update was performed. If it says gen 2 1.1.1 then try a master reset. If all else fails you can try fuse 29 (located to the left of driver's feet)

Don't forget that there is a sync update that should be applied. Visit your dealership & get this done. It should help with the BT pairing & audio.

I think the whole screen is not included in you example but from what i see The two lines saying "Sync compatible software" tells me you have the update

I found this piece when i took delivery of my Edge. Salesman had no idea but I figured it out when I saw the cup holder pieces with it. Any thoughts on that hard to get to space? I think it looks cool but kinda useless. It looks like it's more passenger friendly.

My webpage removed the updates also. I was still able to get the update yesterday however. (I think the interns running the SyncMyRide website were a little hungover) There is a specific TSB addressing this issue. Your dealer should be able to find it (the only one for a 2011 Edge??)

I am the only driver so I have the pre set 1 for everyday and pre set 2 for highway driving (reclined :-) Too bad the steering wheel isn't power adjusted.

Are you using a valid VIN? Does SyncMyRide account show the info saying the vehicle is a 2011 Edge? And on the Window Sticker website, you need to replace the word ENTER with your VIN Example: ...//services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=2FMDK4KCxxxxx

Great attitude! I think you have a pretty good handle on this. Could it be that the install didn't see the SD card so it figured NO Nav?? As far as the novice techs... I've been there / done that. I ended waiting a month until the tech got some practice. I'm REAL glad I have the update because it addresses many of the issues I had with BT Audio (It's great to have Pandora in my pocket, start Edge and have Pandora play automatically)

Sounds like the car you bought does not have the Navigation option and the update realized that. The software update is not an upgrade but an update to fix bugs. There is a Service Bulletin that addresses this and tells the dealership how to bill the time. Your service department was trying to stick it to you.
