  1. The instructions are in the owners manual. 1. Turn the ignition on. DO NOT START THE ENGINE. 2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off (approximately 1–2 minutes). • Step 3 must be completed within 50 seconds after the safety belt warning light turns off. 3. For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times at a moderate speed, ending in the unbuckled state. • After Step 3, the safety belt warning light will be turned on for three seconds. 4. Within approximately seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt. • This will disable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it is currently enabled. As confirmation, the safety belt warning light will flash 12 times in three seconds. • This will enable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it is currently disabled. 2. Pressure isn't needed. Simply touching should work. It's all about location location location. If you don't find the right spot, my touch won't feel it. I guess if you press harder, you finger spreads out to make contact to the undersized hot spot
  3. Ford has made an attempt to simplify the soup. They now call mine Sync Version Gen2 - V2.4
  4. A bit small for a floor mat. It is the tray for the forward section of the center console
  5. what a mor....!! It's amazing how Lost some of these dealers are. Start looking for another dealer for service. It's clear that your's has no clue. The common fix for NOT being able to update a APIM is to order an AIPM already updated.
  6. The post does have merit though A driver needs to know about the traction control options I've been stranded in my Camry cuz there was no known way to turn off ATC. i later found the "easter egg" to turn ATC off. By then it was too late. I long for the hard switch my Turbo PT Cruiser had.
  7. Awesome awesome feature! I can't "see" not having the assist feature with my LMtD Edge
  8. A hard switch would be nice to turn off the traction control. There is a setting in the left menu to turn it off though.
  9. HA! I wondered that too. Take your pick from this list My guess is it's the audio system
  10. You are comparing a ball compass to a map?? I think Kirby's initial explanation said it all. The ball stays in one place and the car rotates around it.
  11. That's silly. Just pull the damn fuse and put it back in. No need to drive around.
  12. Customer Service actually told you to pull fuse 29?!? It sounds like you didn't get the update. These are are symptoms that the update should fix.
  13. I would try a new battery in the fob...just for grins

  15. A second big snow storm in Topeka and I'm lovin' it! Man am I glad I got the AWD Edge. I'm having a blast. It's interesting how much different it drives with traction control turned off. Try turning yours off sometime so you can appreciate it when it's activated.
  16. I wonder what the roll-out will be like. It has to be an improvement.
  17. So far so good. Did you upload the results to syncmyride?
  18. If MFT tells you it isn't supported, you most likely don't have the needed protocol. In order to get the SMS read to you, your phone needs the MAP bluetooth protocol. There's not too many phones that support it.
  19. Here are instructions for installing ambient lighting. They may help with tearing your console apart. Install Ambient Lighting.pdf
  20. I also have this available to install. Based on the name, I would guess that you are correct. It checks the version of installed apps.
  21. Limited has a sub-woofer but I have no idea what the specs are.
  22. I'm pretty sure the service department has access to support from ford. Tell them to call ford support. Also consider another dealership for future service.
  23. The dealer is no help?? If you bought the car with nav then they need to get it working! Who is no help? The salesman, service dpt, or who? Don't let them push you around. They have to fix it for you
