  1. The only reason I would even think about keeping Sirius is the travel link features. Let me rethink this, travel link weather tells me it's 250' and forecasting a high of 258' ! Maybe not
  2. I've tagged Sirius so I know it works. Make sure you have the buttons at the bottom of Sirius display deselected. This will give you the now playing screen. The button is on the right side of that screen
  3. The photos and audible SMS messages are supported if the phone has the M.A.P. bluetooth protocol. The iPhone doesn't have that.
  4. Right. The AC runs to dehumidify. You'll also notice recirculate is off in favor of fresh air
  5. I agree. I read it also. It's a feature that they hoped would work.
  6. I tried a windows phone that was able to transmit contact addresses to touch. The nav was still unable to use the addresses. Ford can't blame that on the phones. It's a Touch problem.
  7. The sync lady is hard of hearing and half stupid. The voice response is much better when you only have to deal with the Touch lady
  8. I was THIS CLOSE from crawling on my hands and knees to pull fuse 29 when to my surprise, the system rebooted on it's own. I do think that ford still needs to work on the memory leaks in Touch. It seems like after a few weeks of use, it still gets Stupid.
  9. At some point I hope we can get the nav to work with the phone's contact addresses. Then you would always have your backup with you.
  10. HUH? My music collection isn't DRM'd and I use iTunes
  11. It looks like this thread is speaking of the same issue I've noticed in my Edge. There is a TSB out for it.
  12. I've got a 2011 AWD Edge and I'm getting what I called a "KLUNK" sound from the rear end. Good to know there is a TSB...even if it may not apply to 2011
  13. I've determined that, unlike the backup alert, the cross traffic beep comes from the area of the instrument cluster
  14. OMG! That sounds painful. (I've got over 5000 songs in my collection.) Just buy a real mp3 device and retire the USB stick
  15. My old iPod gen 5 works fine. I'm pretty sure it's still mac formatted.
  16. I paid particular attention to the beeping this morning. It does sound like it's coming from the C pillar. That seems like an odd place to put it...unless it's to help you associate it with the rear of the car. Now I wonder if oncoming traffic beep moves from one c pillar to the next depending on the direction of the traffic.
  17. Somewhat comforting to know that it isn't just me. I wonder if there will be a software update for the acceleration and AWD management. In the meantime, I may get more familiar with the manual option while passing.
  18. My 2011 AWD Limited Edge has a "protuberance" but it does not run the full length from top to bottom. It takes up the middle 2/3 of the mirror mount. And I have never noticed the wind noise.

  20. Dog barrier?? So this will prevent the dog from flying all over the car in case of accident. The dog will only fly around the back portion of the car. Still not a safe way to transport your dog.
  21. Driving down I70 today I slowed to 30 to pass through the toll gate. When I depressed the accelerator to get back up to speed, I heard and felt a KLUNK from the rear end. Has anyone else heard this on their AWD? Will I be watching my rear end bounce down the road in my rear-view mirror soon? While I'm on the drive train subject... At times I've snapped my passengers necks back when the Edge accelerated from a stop light like I was flooring it...I was actually being very careful to drive smoothly. Having come from a Camry Hybrid, I checked my floor mats. the factory mats are still snapped in place. It acts as though FordTouch was controlling my throttle At other times it's like acceleration was having a lunch break with my BT Audio. I try to make a quick lane change and you would have thought I threw a drag-chute out the tailgate (which opens on it's own)
  22. In case you weren't confused enough; You should check the installation history page here's mine. The first attempt to install 2.4 was on 12/8 The second and successful attempt was on 1/5 BT4T-14D544-BE Gen2 - V2.4 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 1/5/2011 BT4T-14D544-BE Gen2 - V2.4 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 1/5/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CU 1/5/2011 BT4T-14D544-BE Gen2 - V2.4 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 1/5/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 1/5/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 1/5/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 12/8/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 12/8/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 12/8/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 12/8/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 10/19/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 9/8/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJ Gen2 - V1.8 SYNC GEN 2 IMAGE CI 9/8/2010
