I got a letter regarding the "Customer Satisfaction" program this week. It told me that I needed to bring my 11 Edge in for an update. I'm on 2.4 now and am hoping I get updated to 2.7 or better tomorrow.

Jeez. Go to U-Haul and get a strap on model. or, do like I did. I opted for the Limited with factory tow package

I got mine as well. It's so nice of them to do it free of charge! I wonder what the update is and why are they sending letters out and calling it "Customer Satisfaction Program" ? I saw this post on the SyncMyRide forum. It was submitted by "SYNC-SOFTWARE" "Watch this site for updates, but make sure you have at least Gen2 - v2.x. If you have v1.x you have to go to the dealer. I can not say exactly when the updates will be released right now."

The iPhone plays over blue tooth and USB. Media plays with no problem on my edge, even if not indexed. I have had cheap cables that were only for charging and media would not play so use an original grade cable. Upgrading iPhone iOS is always good too

This is in the rear end. Ive felt the transmission give a bump a few times. It's not the transmission. The klunk happened again yesterday while going through toll gate and it actually scared my passengers. It's that bad.

Turbo chargers are a good way of getting power that you don't really have. The Eco boost will give a 4 banger the power of a 6. But, In my opinion, I think it will shorten the lifespan of the 4 cylinder. I'll stick with the conventional 6cyl. My 11 limited has no problem getting up to speed (I may think differently if they were putting a 6cyl Eco boost in the edge)

In my 2011 edge I've had very little trouble with 5th gen iPod. Try rebooting iPod and check the cables

Touch manual says: Press Home again and a pop-up will appear with three graphics. 1. Select (1) for your display to be your chosen wallpaper (if saved). 2. Select (2) for the full corners display with preselected shortcuts. 3. Select (3) to customize your home screen by setting up your own shortcuts. When on the shortcut screen, select ‘Edit/Add shortcuts’ and the system will walk you through the process of setting and saving your shortcuts

I haven't been into dealership since I had the KLUNK but I plan on referring to the TSB from previous models when I discuss it with my service writer. The 2-3 times it's happened to me, it's been when after a highway drive & I slow to go through a 20mph toll gate then accelerate.

Good question. It's not out yet. Ford released it for the Focus' Sync system a few months ago. They said the Touch version would be "soon" I'm still waiting and expecting to have to use USB for my iPhone/Pandora.

When your oil is changed, the Oil Reset is set to 100%. This reflects the oils life. As you drive the car, it will decrease. The manual says this about warning message: CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON — Displayed when the engine oil life remaining is 10% or less. Standard or Memory On? we need more info. What area of the menu are you seeing this?

What version of software does syncmyride say you have?

I'm glad to hear this. It would be real cool if SMS worked but doubt that it will. I'll know more later today when I install 4.3

You can restart system by pulling Fuse 29. Located in the driver side kick panel. Also make sure you have the latest Sync update (2.4)
