I've noticed that the USB power turns on when I open the door. Try testing your garmin with the key fob in the house.

When I was on 2.4, I had the option to set enhanced view on/off. The option disappeared in the 2.7 I'm on now. The option is set to on. I always have the enhanced view.

If your dealership says you have no updates, go at them this way... Report the bugs you are having and tell them to check the recalls and TSBs then fix it while it's under warranty. This should result in a Sync software update

It's hard to test every aspect of this system. I've found myself leaving the dealership without testing everything. Not much you can do when a person picks up the car after the techs have gone home. Besides...I shouldn't have to double check the dealerships work! That is what they should be doing.

I don't think Ford designed the Edge for 5 passengers. They should have done what other CUVs are doing... just give the rear seat a center console instead of a middle "seat".

Ya. If someone breaks in they may break the lock. How about the valet that has too much time on his hands? The locks won't stop a criminal but they may help to keep the "honest" people honest.

You will have to get out of the car and check each tire with a regular tire gauge. The monitoring system will only warn you about low pressure. It won't tell you what the pressure is.

Ford only has themselves to blame. It's not Microsoft that that wrote the Touch system.

?? SyncMyRide doesn't have the 2.8 upgrade nor has it had any other updates. The only thing you can download is the status checker. 2.8 needs to be installed by a knowledgeable tech at the dealership.

Your logic looses me. So, APIM & software were replace/updated. That doesn't rule out anything. The touch system is just plane stupid.

Trish has it hooked to the two "grocery bag" hooks I don't like that config so I hook the top loops on the 2 hooks closer to the tailgate.

One would have to wonder about the vendor Ford chose for the APIMs. Are they using parts that are marginally within specs...or out of spec?? Does my CPU come from a salvaged 386 PC from the 90s?
