  1. Is this the Sirius Patch you are talking about? ...because Sync Updates are not in this area.
  2. Not so fast... The only update you can do from SyncMyRide is the status checker. All software updates (to date) have required a visit to a dealership.
  3. I'm glad that Mullaly admits the problems with MFT. There is no way they can roll out the new model year with the current piece of crap...is there?? Now that the Explorer & Edge are on the road with MFT, the complaints must be skyrocketing. Ya know...Mullaly was responsible for designing the cockpit the 777 (?) while at Boeing. Can you imagine a cockpit designed by the Ford Touch team?
  4. That's great! When it comes down to it...dealerships can do just about anything they WANT to do. Too bad more dealerships can't be this willing to help.
  5. Oh geez. The lack of cap is a feature I really like. It does have a door down in the throat that is only opened when the two buttons on either side of the opening are depressed by a gas nozzle or the special funnel supplied with car.
  6. It's really too bad that the 8" Touch Screen can't be as sensitive as the hazard button.
  7. I just noticed that the Stitcher app on my iPhone had an update tonight. The only thing it said about the update was that it was "Support for Ford Sync radio". I sure hope we are getting near apps on my 2011 Edge!

  9. Good Luck! There are only a few phones that will support the contact photos. I tested a Windows 7 Samsung device that supported contact photos. I've also heard that some BlackBerries support it. As far as a list of supported devices...Ford published one a few years ago but nothing (that I know of) since. It's way out of date.
  10. On SyncMyRide site there is a status checker that you can download to a USB drive. Install that on your Edge then take the USB drive back to SyncMyRide and report the installation. This will update your account with the software version that is installed on your ride.
  11. I drove from Kansas to Indy last weekend. KS is in central time and Indy in Eastern time. The nav ETA was correct. It was giving me the local time of my destination for my ETA. Is the time of travel correct on your nav display (ie the 4" screen)? Are you changing time zones in your trip?
  12. 10k miles on my 2011 Edge & my bamr has labored a few times to close. While parking at the Indy 500 yesterday, the bamr would not close all the way. I had to assist it the last 8-10 inches. I wonder if a dose of grease is all it needs or what. Has anyone had a fix for a dragging bamr?

  14. I always said that the install and/or update process should include a couple of reboots at the end. Glad you got yours working!
  15. With your VIN, create an account on MyFordSync.com. You will find info about your version there.

  17. What version of Sync do you have? I think in the later versions, they may have made it less sensitive. I have learned to rest two fingers on the ledge below the touch screen. This helps me to not hit the button.

  19. This is one large project that should never have been launched. The Sync team may be doing everything they can but Ford needs to do some damage control. Hell offer us unhappy owners lifetime oil changes or something.
  20. I really think you should write Ford a letter and tell them that you have a system w/o issues. They may want to send a team up there to analyze your system :-)
  21. Can anyone explain why I got a letter from Ford telling me to update my software a few months ago? Does Ford know I have a screwed up system? Do they know that Choff has a system with no problems? This POS is Ford's problem and they should be happy to have the network of dealerships that can help to update the POS. The dealerships are caught in the middle of all of this. I bet they all wished Ford had not released this Touch system. It's Ford's problem but it's the owners' and dealers' headache.

  23. So far, the US and CA versions have been 1:1. The same except for the crap they disable for CA
