Whatever they call it. The crappy Touch system has gotten attention by the masses. It's not just a few complainers on the is forum. I bet Ford is wishing they never heard of MyFordTouch. I know I wish I had never heard of it.

I sent the address to Sync from google. My 11 Edge Nav found it...But you knew that. I tried keying the address in and Nav software couldn't find your town. The best I could do was N Bison Ridge Trl in 3 other towns. So...How do we update the Nav SOFTWARE?

I would think that the missing street would be fixed by an updated MAP

I'm still curious how he updated the Nav software. Are there new SD cards with fresh maps?

Have you noticed? This WOOT thread has been the only activity in the 2011 Edge area. I wonder if the reorg has slowed the traffic down a bit.

Its cool to have the sun streaming through the opening. My treated eyeglasses actually have a chance to darken! I've havent been opening my BAMR as much as I would like though. It has started laboring to close the last 6". I need to give it a helping push. Has anyone experienced this?

I've learned live with 2.7. I'm looking forward and hoping we get a new generation of MFT. It still has it's bugs but the reboots have kept me from having to pull the fuse. BT Audio works better but it's a crap shoot on what audio source will be selected when I start the car.

I've got a 11 Limited and have notice strange behaviors with the climate system. I think it must be tied to the bugging MyFordTouch. I always have auto set in my system. I noticed that on hot days, I would start the car and the fan would be on TURBO mode! until the interior cooled down. It works great. Too bad it doesn't do that all the time when it's hot out. At times I've felt the A/C goes into some kind of ECO mode while I'm driving. I've also noticed that I unknowingly touched the Auto button and turned it off...was getting fan at about 75% speed

This was common for me. Pull Fuse 29 to get the system to reboot. or... Get the 2.7 or 2.8 update at your dealer. Ford programmed an automatic reboot into the newer versions of MFT.

He said they were activated in Canada. I guess that makes sense. The Canadian dealerships have the version of software that will allow the activation of DRLs

On your question about using two USB ports. I keep an old iPod plugged into one port and stash it in the bottom of the console. I never touch it until I want to update the library. I have a holder for my iPhone mounted to the edge of the console. The second USB port is plugged into the holder. I've thought about going through these steps but can't find a reason why I would want to put Sync into the mix. My iPhone is a HotSpot so if I want to connect devices, I'll just have them connect to the iPhone. Am I missing something here?

Yep. 100 degrees heat index in KS It was kinda funny. As I was noticing the meta data for the first time, touch freaked ut, locked up mad rebooted.

No idea. It must not be the same as the contact photos and sms.

Has anyone heard of iOS 5? It looks like the BlueTooth is capable of sending the audio Meta Data to the Touch system. I didn't see where it would do SMS or contact photos though.... Stay tuned. It will be released this fall. (sorry about the upside down photo)

Well, the issues with My Ford Touch run much deeper than just the bluetooth connection to a phone. Touch is used to control many things ie HVAC, Nav, & audio

This is a patch for Sirius and not a Sync Software update. What version of Sync does it patch? There are many flavors of Sync out there. I wonder...is this an official patch? Why would Ford not put this in the software update area of SynMyRide? It sure seems like a security risk to me. Downloading a file off of a discussion forum and installing it on my car? I'll wait until it shows up on the official download site.
